I wish… that the courts would also be strict with DUI’s, I mean at least probation, even if it’s 6 mos probation, it would be up to these people to learn from their mistakes during this 6 month period. My two sons are LEO’s, they work SO hard ( so hard ) and put up with abuse, go to court, they HAVE to show up, my one son is working the next 22 days, really long hours, then may have court after his shift, possibly 7 days or more sprinkled in those 22 days. Bravo to this Judge for not putting up with her BS. Her Grandma doesn’t even want her, Grandma! Grandmas usually always say yes!!

      Ya, good point. I used to work in theft prevention back in the day, and back then everyone took a ride in the back of a cop car, and they'd end up getting locked up.
      I could not imagine being a cop now, risking your life apprehending violent turds trying to avoid being held accountable for their bad life choices, only for some worthless judge to immediately release them back out, ready to find another victim.
      I could never do that same job again, and I'd certainly never be a cop nowadays, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

    Well in the end at least she was happy and inquisitive. Better to ask and interrupt the court to speak to her attorney one last time before sentencing. To be able to go to a rehab center to get help with her drug problems/issues and a roof over her head is a godsend imo. Being homeless on drugs and couch surfing is not a way of life. When he said her grandmother didn’t want her spoke volumes. She’s young and can have a good life if she follows the judges orders.

    She is clearly an addict you can see over the hearings she goes from climbing the walks to being relatively stable BUT you can tell she is still very much an addict and has NO interest in seeking treatment.
    PD Overwater is one of the very best PD's but you could see he was worried it was gong to go all wrong.
    I bet she doesn't finish treatment I fear she will be one of the 10,'000's of people that will end up OD, she will think she can take the same level of drugs after being drug free for 6 months.

      I agree with you. I bet if she could get stable mentally she would thrive. Drugs really do cloud a person's mind. Her inattentiveness is likely related to ADHD. People who have severe ADHD and are untreated often gravitate towards drugs.
      I know for myself until I was regularly taking my ADHD meds, my life was chaos and recreational drug use was just seen as a fun way to wind down. Now that I take my meds regularly I don't desire to take recreational drugs. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

      Personally I think you are right that she has a very high IQ. She reminds me a lot of myself when I was a kid and I have an IQ of 150. Although because of drugs there were a number of years where I acted and lived my life like a complete dumbass. I was put in school earlier than kids normally are and I struggled to make connections with other kids until I got to high school. Once I got to high school the druggies were nice to me and accepted me, so I started hanging out with them. At first I just hung out with them and I said no when they offered me drugs, but eventually I saw them having fun and decided to try it. From there I became one of them and I went from an honor student to getting expelled from school.
      I made even worse decisions and ended up in an incident where me and some friends drove down a 50km/h zone at 130km/h high on acid with a guy clinging to the top of my car who was trying to kill us...we were swerving and trying to throw him off the car at the same time...eventually we ran into a police check stop which brought that horrific event to an end. After that my friend Trevor would never hang out with me again cause he said I got him into too much trouble and people kept telling me one day they were going to hear about how I died on news. I had a friend named Jason that always used to say "you're going to become a statistic".
      After that we stole money from a bank and set off a home made bomb one of my friends made at a playground in the middle of the night and burned it down. A while after that some people I knew burned down a lumber yard and left some of my things with my finger prints on them at the scene, so I would get accused for it...which I did. Throughout all of this time, I got to know a lot of police officers very well and most of them treated me like the garbage I was, but there was one officer that was always nice to me and he talked to me like I was a person. He tried to reason with me and he didn't treat me like a criminal at all. He even let me ride in the front seat of the car when he arrested me and we would chat about normal things like music. When he arrested me for the lumber yard I thought I was being arrested for burning down the playground and I ended up confessing to the crime...after confessing to the crime we started talking about the details and we soon figured out we were not talking about the same crime. He had a confession from me already, but he believed me that I didn't do the lumber yard crime and that I thought we were talking about the playground. He told me he was releasing me, but he'd be in contact with me for the playground crime which never actually happened...I assumed he made it disappear. Before he let go that day though, he sat me down and he explained to me where the road I was on was headed and he told me he thought I was a good kid that fell in with the wrong crowd, he asked me if I woke up feeling like garbage every morning and if that was how I wanted to live my life. He told me I was capable of doing better. The things he said to me that day struck a nerve and I ended up getting clean, I distanced myself from the people I was hanging out with and reconnected with my family. I finished high school and went to university and got two degrees and then I had a career that I was very successful at and was able to retire at the age of 34.
      When I first started watching this video, my first thought was that she was another entitled, spoiled brat (which I was as well when I was a kid). When she was talking about how she needs to get out of jail because she had things to do I thought "welcome to the real world princess, where there are consequences for your actions", which is something my dad used to say to me. However, the more I watched, I started to notice things, like her way of speaking is very similar to mine and her mannerisms are also very similar. The way she was there, but not really there...like trying to listen and hearing the words, but an inability to focus on what it all means and needing to hear it over and over...people used to say I was like a "deer in the headlights" and that was something that I struggled with when I was on drugs. However, after a while of not doing drugs, I was able to think more clearly and focus. I did damage to my brain and I have some issues like short term memory loss, but most of my brains functionality did return after a few years.
      Watching this girl just reminded me a lot of me when I was a kid and made me start remembering a lot of the really screwed up moments in my life. I do think she seems intelligent, but I think her brain is screwed up because of the drugs. Maybe I'm just projecting because I chose to put myself through a traumatic childhood, but I also think she is at a point where its not too bad and she can still choose to fix it. I hope she does get the help she needs and chooses to live a better life.

  • @OohMax
    @OohMax 8 місяців тому

    That girl is wrecked. She is not thinking right. Meth? She needs mental health help and not jail time. She is in a death spiral right now, going from bad decision to bad decision to bad decision.
