I tried a different setting on my converter to get better audio. Not sure if it'll work out, but please let me know...and if anyone has any suggestions...please do share! I'm an absolute beginner....still... Please enjoy : )
Oh God, how much do I love this. The drama, the darkness, the swishiness at 1.25, the whole 'no fucks given'. Just pure Bowieness.
Ann White :: excellent comment!!!
Totally agree. It was the closing song to the disturbing serial killer movie “Se7en.”
the best part 0:00 - 4:55
i want his jacket
By Alexander McQueen
We all want the Unionjacket. Unfortunately, it'd take either theft or an enormous sum to acquire. Damned money. Now, I'll gladly pay a tailor...
Bowie in his Union Jack coat will always be one of my favorite looks of his.
Mine too if I’m not mistaken Alexander McQueen designed it for him.
That's just one of the multiple fashion items he used for his characters..
The Ziggy Stardust era was fab noone can deny it, they were all special..
He was the master of character exploration. He will never be replaced, just copied.
Yeah man
Fuck. Bowie is fierce. Bowie is beyond.
I love the earthling period 😊
(Even tho this song is from outside)
that bass tone is so sexalicious
2:54 He's simply possessed. God bless you DB, you were the greatest
Oh yES! Love this! Zach Alford is playing those drums! David's vocals omg. Love you Gail Ann. Reeves!
what a fantastic death abyss!!
1995. I was sitting and the movie "SE7EN" started with a perfect version of NIN "Closer", the movie, perfect, too and then the end. Bowie's "Hearts filthy lesson". It was a perfect evening and this song became a legend as his creator did. Now it's been 7 years and just a few days he left us - Rest in peace!
Se7en is one of the greatest films of the 1990’s!!
Awesome one of Bowie’s songs was used so amazingly during the ending credits and really fit the dark and twisted nature of that film.
@@andrewburgemeister6684: Again: "Correct"! 😎
Every show they did this tune was original and sooo Bowie .❤ We still miss you David Bowie in 2022.
He's the beauty and the beast...
I still think about him and miss him greatly.
The earthling era one of the weirdest and wonderful mutations of Bowie!
❤💀👺🎯🏆
Well, I have not been wearing Miranda's clothes, and I have not been to Oxford Town either, BUT I saw this more times live then I can remember and it ALWAYS gets my blood pumping. At Roseland Ballroom, in September 1996 during the post-Outside limited "Ballroom Tour", the ENTIRE crowd slunk into a sexually charged, LOW-shouldered, rocking, lurching swaying dance when this started up. There were mannequins on the cieling, canvas on the floor. I remember the block was closed off after just from the amount of well wishers at his stage door. I remember I was deaf until the next day.
DrVornhoff :: If I had been at that show, I'd probably have experienced some type of 'REBIRTH'. David never stopped reaching til' he touched the sky. In a parallel universe...ok I'll end this now. Thanks!
The jacket, the lace, the song, oh! That man!
Holy crap! These are totally stonking. Some of the best live Bowie I've seen.
Only 349 views? "Tell the others."
2023...Something in our blood... Tell the others...I'm already in my grave... Tell the others...

My favourite Bowie era
Terrific performance (in the good ways), full of power, this song is a masterpice!
I love the way David sings and moves.
My heart continues to ache. LOVING & MISSING THE ALIEN. There shall Never be anyone like him.
Every tour he did was unique, love these harder-edged 90's shows. I was lucky to see him on the Heathen and Reality tours and it was outstanding though less edgy for sure.
Words can't convey how much I love this.
bowie for ever...
Incredible. He was the best.
Wow
I only just saw this live concert on here now and it's ..
AMAZING.
DB was exceptional. R.I.P
My life is deeply changed when he passed. All around...sadness

Love the great, hard edge and how completely together the band sounds. Reeves is...what's word. Remarkable.
That's fantastic! RIP David Bowie.
Just fucking genius
Simply amazing!
Thos is one of my favorite songs. Everything is great in it. Music vocals. And the video is awesome. But i think they band the original. He is a legend in everyway.
Paddy, vilken fantastisk död avgrund! Tala till de andra!
Great material, thanks a Lot!
Thank you so much for uploading this.
Excelente perfomance. Es el mejor BOWIE en vivo!!!
One of my favorite performances! Class.
Very good, amazing performance, love David
Wonderful performance and this is really the very best upload of it to find on YT! It is so great to watch the incomparable Bowie and his band and to have that good sound, too.
Excellent. Love that album.
Yep ! Cracking job on the audio. Nice one, best I've heard. Thanks very much for bothering to do this buddy. I love it !

hes so cool
Sounds good, Absolute Beginner.
I thought this look and the jacket too were only started to be done during the, "Earthling", project?! So he was looking this way the year before? Huh.
Good god.
THE BEST TEL THE OTHERS.
Sensacional
I am not sure if this or the Loreley version is better. They are both pretty much the same and absolutely phantastic life versions. Just that I tend to like this even better, I think it is because audio is slightly better here, BOWIElover.
A cracking bass by Mrs. Dorsay.
Peter Kroll :: agree. I just found this... both live versions are excellent. Never another will ever come close to his collaborations. I love the musician line up during this time period. The unit is tight.
@@jmart9414
Mrs. Dorsey seems has a slightly more rolling and rumbling bass here. That fits the song well, the drummer seems hits a little bit harder. But Mr. Bowies vocals and stage presence is a little bit better for the Loreley version.
It about the daily form I guess, and a little about the mixing. All wonderful musicians.
Peter Kroll :: hi back listening/watching again...1:46 - 148... Reeves...this IS such great sound AND vision !!!!
@@jmart9414
Nice to see you back J Mart!
Peter Kroll::thank you! What an excellent distraction! Always listening to 1.OUTSIDE. Drawn to this recording over n over. I also really give props to Loreley festival performances. Enjoy! Happy Holidays.

Are you certain this is `96? Looks like the _Earthling_ tour of `97.
+veritaseros almost certain you are right looking at hair and earthling McQueen jacket
Bowie played Phoenix festival in 1996. The stage (design) is from the Outside-tour. He played Phoenix in 1997 too, but the stage was totally different and he wore a Tibetan suit.
@@piggystardust ridiculous. Deffo 96. Betw outside tour and Earthling tour ( guy is right....indian style pj's and sandals ).
I'll join the acolades. A fine HQ upload with good sound and vision ( pun intended!). Something always disturbed me about this Bowie period. Not sure if its that buzzy rusty hair in that tatered UK longcoat that make his 50 year old ass look aged during this period, or the obvious NIN and Chemical Bros infuence on his music at the time. Regardless,I've always been a fan and its just part of the changes. You cant always hit a bullseye. In retrospect i think its better than the Reality tour look.
Any reason why the bassist has a crucifix glued to her face?
Reason is the antithesis of art.
@@owlcu true. But I’m just wondering what the message is. I doubt she got up one morning and decided just to randomly glue a crucifix to her head.
@@frankschrodinger1424 I'm kind of wondering the same thing, but it could be that she's just expressing what she felt that day and will wear something completely different onstage the next. Many great artists live their subconscious out in the open, because they need to be in touch with it. Check out Wes Borland's costumes.
