Dear Sir, First of all Thank you very very much. I filled form 15G as per your guidance in above VDO. You have done very hard work to prepare this very usefull VDO. After filling form 15G for EPF withdrawal, I received My claimed amount on 13th day, (including all days of week) . I received claimed amount WITHOUT CUTTING A SINGLE RUPEE.....I thank you very very much for outstanding & very very helpfull VDO.
I am glad this video helped you and thank you for this appreciation comment. There are very few viewers who write feedback after getting the benefit. Keep supporting and stay connected
Did you download form 15G from below the link?
Yes/no
Please me because i have downloaded new form of 15G
You can use new format
@@TaxGuruJi thanks your format is easy. I got it from ITD WEBSITE
You are welcome
As far as I searched, No one else has explained in depth about this matter other than you. Kudos! Thanks dear.
I really found your video very informative and you explained it in a layman's language so that everyone can understand. I work in real estate and filling up form 15 G/H was very challenging. Just few more points i think you should include are:
1. What are the kind/type of other income that has to be added in point 17
2. Want more clarity in point 18, if its N/A then is it right to fill number of forms filled as point 18 very clearly mentions " Details of forms filled other than this form in P.Y"
3. Also tell viewers than there are two kind of forms 15G and 15H. So 15G is for valid for people below 60 yrs and 15h for above 60 yrs. This is very confusing for people who have no idea of what these forms are. Its important point to mention the difference
4. If somebody is watching your video in F.Y. 2020-21, then how to fill P.Y ending on and A.Y
I feel if you include these points, your video will be perfect.
Yes , agree
धन्यवाद श्री मान जी, बहुत ही अच्छी तरह से आपने समझाया है।

Sir, thank you so much for this important informative video regarding form 15g. It will help a lot for a poor employee like me. I have no doubt regarding possible tax deduction if pf amount is above 50k and having employment period of less than 5 years collectively. However, I got one confusion. As per the form sample you used here, it indicated form filing date as 7/18/2019. I supposed you used the date format in mm/dd/yyyy? Plz clarify. Also, incase, if the filing date is sometime in 2019, won't the previous year ending and relevant to the assessment year be 31st march 2019 and 31st march 2020 respectively in declaration/verification section?
Thank you so much for such a detailed step by step demonstration. I filled my claim successfully because of this.

I have resigned from job in July 2019 and my total job period was of 4 years. My epf amount is more than 1.5 LACS. In my case column 17 of form 15G is around 1.5 Lacs. Is it necessary to fill form 15G in my case?
TILL july 2019 uptil now i didnt do any job or income in my case. how to save my tds ?

Excellent way to explain thank u
Thank you for your valuable video 👍
Hello Tax Guruji... There is a correction on Item 17. The total income for the year need to be mentioned where the tax liability is Zero. As per IT act upto Rs 5lakhs for salaried employees is exempt of tax. So if my net income after all deduction plus pf withdrawal is less than 5 lakhs, that figure needs to be written. For example pf withdrawal is 150,000 and net income for the year is 300,000. Then item 17 should be 450,000.
Hi I have a doubt for column 17, should i include my salary i got from april 2023 to aug 2023 (excluding the deductions of pf etc), my last working month was august

Dear sir, when I had applied for the pf withdrawal my passbook amount was showing less than 50k so I didn't filed the form 15, however after a few days of applying for withdrawal my passbook got updated the total amount went above 50k. Yesterday I received the message from pf department which says that my TDS has been deducted from the amount and rest amount will be credited to the bank account.
Now sir is there any procedure through which I can get back my deducted amount?

Yes Deven ji as per PF rules you are not required to submit form 15G while claiming PF withdrawal

Hi I have completed 10 continuous years of service and the amount is more than 50k do I need to fill 15g for Pf withdrawl
No alfred if service is more than 5 years there is no need to fill form 15G. Your TDS will not be deducted at the time of PF withdrawal.

@taxguruji Thank you for the detailed video, this is so beneficial.
I have a question. How "years of service" is calculated by EPFO. I worked for 9 year starting Mar 2010 to April 2019 during that time I changed 4 companies. The initial 2 company where I worked for 5 years I had old PF accounts are not linked to my UAN. If my years of service is calculated based on UAN then I will have to pay 10% TDS. ISO, can you please clarify me regarding "How years of service is calculated"?
Appreciate your response on this.
Same issue for me as well!!
After transferring the balances to latest employer from all old employers, my continuous service is more than 10 years, but portal is considering my latest employer joining and end date (during withdrawal process) which is less than 5 years and hence asking for form 15G ? Whereas ideally it should not ask for form 15G as no TDS is applicable for more than 5 years of service.
Do let me know if your issue got resolved?
Your work experience shows in pf dashboard
Excellent video, very useful for us.. thanks keep it up 👍
Thank you so much sir...God bless
Nice video : I have a question .. I have resigned in September 2019 and My total PF is 53000 and my salary was 5lac p.a, will there be any deduction if I upload 15 G as well ?
Yamin if your total service is less than 5 years as per EPFO then TDS will be applicable as PF is more than Rs. 50000. The same is clearly explained in the video itself.
If you upload 15g form then tax will not deduct , Am I right sir ?
@@kirtisharma8759

Hello Sir
Thank you so much for such a nice video. I have three questions to clear my doubts.
1- Suppose we have 80,000 in our PF balance and as per govt latest guidelines we can withdraw up to 75% of our PF amount. So, what amount should we write in Column 16?
80,000 or 75% of 80,000
2- Do we need to write CTC+ PF amount in Column 17,
or just basic + PF
or In hand salary+ PF?
Suppose if someone's CTC is 3.8 lakh and in hand 2.9 lakh. So, what amount should be mentioned in Column 17?
3- What amount should be written in the last box of column 19?
If you have made any latest video to withdraw PF based on Covid 19 lockdown scenario. Help me with the link.
Thanks and regards

Hi, Thanks for making this video and the PF withdrawal process as well. They are indeed very simple to follow and very helpful. I have a question regarding NRI citizens, what would be the process for them to prevent TDS on EPF claim. Does 15G is still required for them as well? What could be the best way and easiest way to tackle tax deduction in such cases? Looking forward to your guidance. Thanks
You are welcome Manik ji. As per income tax rules, an NRI can not take benefit of form 15G. In your case, you need to file an income tax return to get the refund of TDS deducted on the PF withdrawal amount.
Hi Sir, Thanks for the information. One more thing could you help me provide the list of documents I would be required for filing income tax return since I only have income from pf claim and not other sources and would there be a need to have NRE/NRO account in order to withdraw those funds or just regular savings account would be alright. Further my pf claim is within the tax exemption limit of INR 2.5L

Sir, i have a question, will my service be considered as continuos, if i have breaks in between due to onsite deputation and partial PF withdrawl as transfer was not possible due to some reason. To explain more, I joined company 1 in 2007 and left the company in 2010, joined company 2 in 2010 and left in 2011. Company 1 PF i couldnt transfer to company 2, but then switched to company 3 in 2011, transferred both company 1 and company 2 PF amount to Company 3. and continued contribution to company 3 PF until march 2015. so this period of employment will be Sept 2007 to March 2015. in march 2015, i went US for 2 years and 4 months from company 3 so no contribution was made during this time. After i came back in 2017 i resigned when pf for a week was deposited in july 2017 in company 3 PF account and joined company 4 in august 2017. Company 4 tenure was 2017 august to 2020 october. After that i joined a company which doesnt give PF. Now when i go to claim my service is only considered from 2017 to 2020. what should i do. do you know the reason?
