I measure my level of understanding to the bonsai concept to what you are doing to your trees. I almostly think the same way you do to your trees. Every time I watch one of your videos, I say to myself that he (You) should do this and do that and my thoughts are improving. I started to have a good eye on how to prune and style bonsai trees. Yet, I am still learning. Big part of that returns to you. THANX
Thank you for the kind words. You need to train your eye for the proportions, taper and arrangement of the branches. It's a skill that takes a long time. I'm just an enthusiast. Thanks again!
@@the_greenbob Dear, I am addicted to bonsai. I have my own collection. I have been in the hoppy for a quite sometime, almost 10 years. But... yet, I am still learning and you are one of my masters. Greatings.
Where I come from, growing a bonsai takes years. Maybe you are capable of creating a 100 year old bonsai cypress in just 2? If so, I would like you to be my teacher. Thank you for the time you dedicated to me.
Yes, I am capale of creating a 100 year old bonsai cypress in 2 years. Just get me good material that is 98 years old. FYI: my oldest tree is about 75 years old. Your material is not great material and if you continue to grow it this way, you won't see it turn into a masterpiece ever. Growing bonsai does take years - but initially, you are growing just a tree that in the future may have potential to become a bonsai. If you put a not so interesting young tree in a pot and start styling it already... it's not going to work out.
you're right, it will be the next job. I prefer to give the plant time to recover. When I see new vegetation it will mean that the plant is well and can withstand other processing. For me, the well-being of the plant comes before styling. Thanks for the comment, you often point out things I wouldn't have seen.
@@the_greenbob all good, I grow Australian native figs too, being latex producers,I have found wiring young and green means wiring once, just got to watch the wires
The melodrama and over the top music on a $ 3 Cypress is just annoying. The close up plucking at miniscule things and excessant stroking and fingering is annoyance further still. The contemplation and then cutting an inch off of a single branch 5 times. Add 20x 360 degree spins and you have the ultimate backdrop for a mediocre result. Video locusts rather Bob.
Unfortunately, I am slow at making decisions and I have to review the work several times before I am satisfied. I'm not even a good director and therefore my videos are boring. Luckily, UA-cam is full of more interesting videos. Please go and see them. Thanks for your patience

You are too kind! Sorry for only replying now but I didn't see your reply! I am sorry!
Indeed, a future masterpiece. In 15 years or so. If you find someone who knows how to grow bonsai.
