The titanium ones are a great replacement/improvement blade but they're always so damn expensive...but they last such a long time and stay sharp too. Its kinda worth it.
I also learned the hard way. Had mine laying on the table with the blade exposed. Slapped it out of the way and the blood came. First and last time I have left it like that.
Nahh! The rotary cutter is a prime tool in the shop, use it with a straight edge and you cant get a straighter cut! Gotta make sure you get a good one tho. Not a flimsy thing as those will get you from the start. NT cutter Rotary blade are a great choice. Made in Japan too.
I don’t have much luck on the sharpening even on a buffing wheel. I would recommend if you do try sharpening wear some decent leather gloves. I just replace the blade.
Happy Birthday Claudia

The roller cutter will get you if you are not careful. Four stitches later I gave it to my wife.

@@larrycumba2741 do you slap the round knife out of the way too? If so, some sheaths may be a good next project to consider lol 😆

How thick and what types of leather can you cut with the rotary cutter? Sharpening?

I have one just like that one & have cut 9-10 with it. Might have to make more than one pass, but it will cut pretty deep.
