Thanks for the shout-out and support Graham. It wasn't just me at Düsseldorf - even a German vlogger with almost 150k subs had the door literally slammed in his face. I'm pleased to say that my day at the NEC was brilliant, mostly down to the lovely viewers/subscribers all coming up and saying hello. In my social posts yesterday I tagged one of the manufacturers and... nothing. Interestingly, on the way to the show I tagged South Eastern Railway praising their Javelin High-Speed Service, and Avanti West Coast praising their refurbed Pendolinos. It's not just the caravan industry that ignores people - South Eastern Railway didn't engage AT ALL with my post, whereas Avanti sent me a PM wishing me a lovely trip. That small gesture made me feel valued as a customer, and created good vibes towards Avanti. South Eastern can go to hell. I felt like screenshotting the Avanti dialogue and posting it saying 'This is how you do Social Media well.' I just don't get it - this is FREE CONTENT that kind folks are offering the manufacturers/Clubs on a plate, yet it's being ignored which is such a slap in the face. I do feel that the big boys in the caravan and motorhome industry are years and years behind when it comes to marketing, cutting back on staff and still paying a ton of money for print media when they should be investing in marketing staff and cutting back on what delivers poor ROI. Fun fact: One huge manufacturer told me they'd lugged dozens of vehicles to an outdoor show not so long ago, and there ended up to be a total of 8,000 people through the gates. All those thousands and thousands of pounds on logistics, wages, accommodation, travel, expenses etc, and not all the 8,000 people would have even seen those products. Meanwhile, I did a review on a caravan from this company that has so far amassed 143,000 views. Yet I'm still expected to pay for my own time, travel, equipment etc to attend the factory preview to put their product in front of my audience and make £50 on adsense. Go figure. But, meet a few viewers and subscribers and it's like a shot in the arm. Again, it's going back to the "feeling appreciated", we all need that from time to time.
Currently sat in our caravan eating our evening meal watching your vlog Graham 👍. We would have liked a visit to the show but we booked this holiday back in January not thinking of the show dates. Fingers crossed maybe next October. Have a good time, Rob & Gail 😀
I was at last years show and was parked behind you (in the cheap seats - your area was sold out) right next to the generators🙄Never bumped into you though. Thought about leaving a note on the van inviting you for a pint but when I got into the Spoons passed out at the prices - 1/3 price up north - enjoy your visit on Saturday😀
Not going this year. Ferry Meadows for the weekend instead. Tbh nothing new really interests me this year. Keeping my money in my pocket. Last year we nearly bought a motorhome. What a lucky escape that was!😮

Caravan manufactures and caravan industry in general do not appreciate the time and effort of vlogers and customers i think they are only interested when people are making comments on how good their products are. If the product is faulty or not very good they seam to lose interest in what vlogers and customers have to say. Have a good day at the show 👍

The caravan industry is well up its own backside, has been full of greed for decades. its a good time that the industry implodes and the whole lot get a bite from reality. as for the show no one ever does any good videos from it, all the youtubers do the exact same pathetic videos, biggest camper van, most expensive camper van, a new caravan and thats it, tripe in video format.
I dread to think of the time, money and sacrifice @AndrewDitton has put into the industry. You've got to love it to vlog and even when all goes quiet to viewers theres always stuff going on in the background. Have fun at the show. We are just too far away and not looking for new stuff. Enjoy 🫡🫡

Manufacturers don't seem to ask their actual customers what their experience has been of one of their products so I suppose that says it all?
