Ugh! Seasickness is a mood killer. On the Skaggerak between Oslo and Copenhagen on our honeymoon cruise, trying to sleep on the bed was like trying to sleep on one of those automatic bucking bronco machines found at fairgrounds. We overslept, missed our friends' trip to the center of Copenhagen plus a couple of friends who lived in Sweden touching base with us, and although we rendezvoused by the Little Mermaid, we were on a bus that almost tipped over due to overcrowding on the way back to the ship. I had an awesome time on that trip -- we ended up in St Petersburg and it was amazing to be able to show my husband where I got my love of Russian history and culture. He died a few years later of cancer so make the most of the time on a cruise -- you never know how long you have together.
Thank you my wife and I haven't been on a cruise together and only once separate over 15 years ago. I was very curious about what the chances were of even getting a seat or something on deck at any time. This cleared things up a little.
Another one you didn't mention is dont let your stomach get empty. They typically have free food on the ship, although not the healthiest, just snack all day anyway. Having an empty stomach makes sea sickness kick in easier. Especially if drinking alcohol.
Over my years I just cannot handle the absolute disgusting putrid smell of cigarette smoke. That was one good thing about Covid was that when cruising first came back I went on a cruise in early 2022 and the casino was non-smoking. I feel badly for the casino workers who have to work in that filth...
These are 17 reasons I WILL NOT go on a cruise with over 400 people!! YUCK!! I will stick with Windstar Cruises....once you have, you won't leave again. They go to better places and you do not have to share anywhere with 4000 other people and children!! UGH. I have been on 40 cruises with all major lines....never go back.
Carnival need to do something about the saving chairs situation. No one should be able to save a chair more than an hour.
Yeah royal and celebrity allow 40 minutes. And man did I piss off some people when I took there chair. It was great! Use it or loose it!
I do the same thing. I’ll give you an hour. If you don’t hit the chair in an hour, your towel is on the ground, and I’m in the chair

I think over eating is more of a problem on a cruise. I’ve never known anyone go hungry, there’s so much food availble
Has anyone had this happen: you get used to the rocking of the boat but when you get off you feel like the Earth is moving?
My husband complained of that for 3 or 4 days after we got off or our last cruise.
All cruise lines need to put a stop to saving chairs, it's ridiculous.
I don't think its a problem to leave belongings at your chair if you break for lunch, but only if you're going to be 20-30 min. Just be reasonable.

You don’t even meet that many people on one cruise
Maybe a person doesn't want to be doing activities all day long
Then stay in the room? You do know this is just a video giving others options correct?
There’s no obligation to do so. Some find peace in reading books all day 🤷🏽♀️
Bring a small can of air freshener for your room and bathroom. You will drop a few MAJOR loads and you will stink up your room without spray.
Truth. On our last cruise, Poo Pouri was our best friend
