- These are the final boss fights in Mega Man Legends 2. I simply did them to show the change in difficulty between this game and its prequel, which was also why I used the Shining Laser only. In the first game, you can finish the final boss in seconds using the Shining Laser, but even with the weapon fully upgraded, crazy dodging is still needed in the second game when fighting Sera. Like in the first game, I upgraded the Shining Laser to its maximum here too. Ridiculously, the game now asks for a total of 16,425,000 Zenny, which far exceeds the 835,000 Zenny in the first game. I think the reason is that you can now earn money easier. But still, you can't get that much money even if you max out your wallet, which forces you to spend in portions.
Though I came across guides saying that you can get 10% off for Special Weapon upgrades for peeping Roll bathing (=.=), I found that it's not always true, as there is a hidden 'favor counter' for Roll. You can only get discount when the counter hits 16384, which I didn't succeed in doing, so I had to earn money for more than 2 weeks. 2 FREAKING WEEKS. To see how the counter works, check here:

EDIT: Turns out I actually GOT the discount hahaha. The original total cost should be 18,249,999 Zenny. A guide misleadingly gives the discounted cost, so I guess the writer didn't realize he was enjoying the discount.
As for the battle, I've practiced for tons of times and was still getting hit today. I'm quite disappointed at Final Sera for not using her laser beams attack in this video, which did not make quite a challenge. But why is using a maxed out Shining Laser a challenge, then? There is a limitation for using such weapon, which is the immobility of Mega Man. I think this alone makes a little challenge, plus I just wanted to show the difference between using the Shining Laser on Juno and Sera, so yeah.

At first i was underestimating shining laser... But after it's upgraded to max. It becomes the most powerful one among all special weapons in the game
Yeah it's super OP and is more like a weapon to use for fun than anything because literally no one would go earn that much money if they just aim to finish the story. The cost just isn't worth it... gotta thank Roll for asking for so much.

It's been a while. No I didn't use cheats - I literally earned Zennys for two freaking weeks. Maxed out my wallet and still couldn't finish the upgrades so I had to upgrade twice.
By the way this is the Japanese PC version, there was no way to use cheat codes or at least, not that I'm aware.

Well, Juno was a 3rd class Bureaucratic Unit, and Sera is a Mother Unit, basically comparing a senator and the president of the earth (if there was one). Anyway, can you elaborate on the favor counter please? I'm currently working on the last level for attack and range on the Laser and want to know if I'm gonna run out of discount, I have maxed out the Homing Missile, Ground Crawler (except for special), Machine Gun Arm, Vacuum Arm, and Hyper Shell (except attack by one level)
+Armin Maza What do you mean by running out of discount though? Are you currently having discount? You won't "run out of" discount unless you make your counter fall below 16384 (e.g. by selling Roll's lunches). This is a thread on GameFAQs:

+Armin Maza Ah, that. The counter marks whether you're eligible for nice stuff (the discount being the most important). Treating Roll well increases the value (there's a list of actions that give different values, which you can find in the link I give you above).
I believe there's no way to know the exact value, considering the counter is hidden. If you really want the discount, make sure you complete as many of the actions as possible and avoid doing the bad actions (also listed in the link). To know if you're getting a discount, just compare the prices you see with the original prices.

Armin Maza Huh? You shouldn't get upgrade price hike for doing bad stuff. Kicking the pigs will only make people hate you (hence selling stuff to you at prices 20% higher) but not Roll. Roll has a different counter and it decreases only when you mistreat her.

In EN, her first phase voice sounded more robotic and her second phase sounded like a lady.

Well, Megaman Juno was a Burocratic Unit that was supposed to be weaker than Volnutt, but here we're talking about Sera, one of the headmasters of all this, it's like comparing a gun with a hi-tech tank. To pull this off, Sera herself admits that Gatz was trying to help Megaman by hacking her, so technically, we didn't even saw 1st form Sera fighting at full power.
@@El_Badai but Juno had a battle body in his second phase and although he wasn't programmed for combat he made good use of it and was tough. I agree Sera probably has good combat abilities and perhaps has stronger armor or what have you, but the shining laser is still over all weaker on bosses and enemies alike despite being the most powerful weapon
@@error_404.69 And rightly so... I mean, I know that it's the strongest weapon but dude... Defeating the final boss in 18 seconds or less... Also, it's technically justified as Roll said that she never knew that the Shining Laser would be such a powerful weapon, being almost frightening... It may be a headcanon, but I like to think that Roll estabilized the SL power and justifying also the look of the weapon
