- In this episode, we experience Kanjo Racing on the Loop in Osaka with the next generation of Loop One racers. This was one hell of an adventure!
In 2019 we went back to Japan. Hungry for more after "Japan Without a Plan", we aimed to seek out AE86's, Street drifting, Kanjo culture, tuning shops and much more.
In this twelve-part special, we buy another van and travel up the east coast, documenting as much as we could, getting ourselves into some hilarious situations.
Enjoy our journey through Japanese car culture over the next few weeks. This one has been a long time coming.

Lad, once again I am in awe. the entire Kanjo segment really did well to show just how fast those dudes were driving, shaky cam n all. This whole series is the piece of content I am most hype for this year, hands down.

I've never felt so connected to people that I have never met, than with you guys. I feel like I'm sharing all of your emotions each time I watch. The way you've presented these episodes with the post commentary makes me feel like I'm right there with you. its so overwhelmingly enjoyable.

Yeah the editing is pretty fucking good for a youtube doc. Would be so easy to just dump boring 20h of content without editing, but this lad went above and beyond making this entertaining!
This has to be up there as one of the most incredible, authentic experiences a car enthusiast can experience. Growing greener with envy with each episode, outstanding stuff lads!
Humbled by that Barry, Im still shocked when I watch back these videos. We were very fortunate to experience a lot of this stuff, glad we managed to document it and put out this content.
"Earphones ON" That Kanjo Loop racing gave me the biggest grin, chills and brought tears to my eyes man. It reminded me of exactly why and how I fell in love with cars as a young kid playing Gran Turismo2. I haven't felt that way in 20+ years. THANK YOU.
I love kanjozoku culture, and going on the loop in person is a truly amazing experience also lads I'm loving this series. Hopefully I'll bring my ek up to the bbq someday 🤣

I'm an AE86 guy, but this was one of the best episodes I have seen on UA-cam! The danger and excitement came across really well. It's true that a dodgy situation can make for a great story!

Thank you so much for this episode. As a Honda kid, the Kanjo racers and the loop have always fascinated me. It’s so good to see some of them still exist and want to keep the culture alive.

The most beautiful thing I have ever seen
I dunno how you guys are gonna top this episode, but I’m sure you will! Me and a friend sat in Izumiotsu PA for hours one night just hoping to luck into experiencing something similar; didn’t happen of course. Did manage an equally messy night in Dotonbori. But man alive it’s so cool to hear you guys talk about it in such detail and see the footage. Real thankful you guys are doing what you’re doing.
The next few are a little more relaxed, but yeah, most of the mental stuff happened in the first few days, and then at the very end.

As I've grown older I've come to respect all forms of car mods and culture because at the end of the day we are all car enthusiasts who sink our hard earned blood sweat and tears and quite a few cuss words into our cars and weather it's hydraulic lowriders, fart can civics, drifting, jdm, American muscle, etc I respect it all now I have my favorites and don't really prefer civics but style is like a fingerprint all of em are unique and I will never put anyone down for their particular style

Fuck man. I just spent the last two weeks rewatching the enterity of the current vlogs, leading back into this series. Your production levels have gone through the fecking roof with this one, all that time spent working on sorting footage and editing has been well worth the effort, this series is outstanding and we're still only on episode 3.
Great music selection, brilliant quality and good captures and just the overall vibes. The fucking moment of the music fading out as the Civic hammered it out onto the straight on the Kanjo. Some of the most exhilarating shit i've ever watched.

Neil, we’ll impressed that you had enough batteries / memory cards to keep filming as much as you did on each day. Not easy to get a full set of freshly charged batteries waking up in a van with no power socket too! Kudos for being enough battery juice to keep the camera going strong! 👏🏻
Haha ! I appreciate that man, the comical scenarios trying to find outlets to charge batteries at convenient stores is something we should have added to the videos. I think the battery was dying on the loop so I was turning the camera on and off and switching to the phone.

Man, Kanjo culture is wild. It's something you really wouldn't be able to fully replicate anywhere else, as it's not only a need for speed but also a statement against Japan's conservative culture.
Even if you got a bunch of Civic drivers together to do something like this, it wouldn't have the same amount of depth, and in that regard you guys have probably witnessed one of the last generations of Kanjo racers in Japan. Truly special stuff, keep up the great documentary work Neil!

If you like Kanjozoku, you should try out the Tokyo Xtreme Racer games. Really shaped up my love for this kind of stuff even before I discovered Kanjozoku. Really captures the team battles, rivalries, and culture of the pre 2000 street racing scene in Japan!

The culture is still alive and very alive i follow a lot street racers from no good racing and temple racing and every weekend they go racing to the loop or mountain. And they havimg a lot of encounters in parks oulr bombs stations.
