It may not be the right way to keep your hair healthy but before i learned how to properly take care of my hair i never trimmed it i went years without trimming my hair and my hair still grew long down my back but moving forward i make sure to trim my hair every year

My grandmother was raised Pentecostal, and she did not believe in us cutting our hair either. We did because we were hard-headed lol, she never cut hers
I'm also Pentecostal, and my mother did not believe in it as well, but dead ends have to be cut.

If you take care of your hair, a trim/cut is never even necessary. I was raised the same way and never had any issues with my hair. Now as an adult my hair is trash and I can definitely do with a quarterly trim.

Looks great I’m not the biggest fan of fan of trimming I think it’s a better look being just natural not to purposely perfect.
The blunt look that comes from many trims is unappealing to me personally. I prefer the shape of hair that has a v pattern on the ends or like you said, natural.

As long as the hair follicle is not damaged her hair will grow. If she has any split ends due to not getting trims, it will cause problems . Think of a run in panty hose. Long hair doesn't mean healthy hair.
@@SharonDelores-sn8vb See I never understood this because our tribal ancestors and indian blooded folks never trimmed and they were tripping over their hair bc it was so long & thick. I think all these trims are necessary bc of the products we use and styling tools which never existed in our descents day and time.

Cutting and trimming your hair are two totally different things.
I decided 2020 to shave my head and never cut, put heat or chemical on my hair ever again. Just gonna let it grow to the ground 🤷🏽♀️

A trim is not really cutting ur hair.
Why wouldn’t her silk press have lasted if she’d have left it straight and not curled it?
You should do a test at home. close the bathroom door, close the shower door or curtain and turn on the shower really hot. The stream from shower will puff the hair back up. That's never press in the summer or raining months. I do my hair press in the spring. My hair will puff back up into my natural afro. I'm rocking my afro now
@@territurner1407: That’s not answering my question. She said she PUT curls in her hair instead of letting it hang straight in order to make the press last longer. That makes no sense to me.
If you wrap your pressed hair nightly and avoid steam, humidity, sweating, and getting your hair wet, your press will last just as long as it would if you slept in curlers or pin curls every night. As long as you keep moisture out of your hair I don’t see what difference it makes.

My mom has always trimmed her hair and everyone I know at church. Getting a trim doesn’t always mean an extreme haircut. Unless you haven’t had a good trim on the regular basis.
Either way I highly doubt God is going to be mad that you are taking care of something he blessed you with..

Her hair is damaged at the ends.. if it’s a religion going by the Bible it doesn’t say anywhere not to trim. So many religions are Bible based yet they aren’t. Then you see the documentaries about all the religions.
Ma'am, orthodox Jews do not edge their beards because of Bible...if you are rastafarian, Muslim, pentecostal, or Mennonite and your religion says no cut... don't compromise
