Although I'll never see him again I can go to his Facebook page and watch the videos he posted of himself preforming his original music. I guess they wanted to go with the edm sound instead. But compared to the remix this one sounds more 90s pop with guitar. The remix is more edm and jumpy if that makes any sense. But yeah the sound is very 90s compared to the remix. I like both, but I remember the remix more, so for nostalgic reasons I prefer the remix, but this one is still good.
