i swear briar is so easy mechanically and yet so hard at the same time, ive played her so much and i still never am 100% satisfied with my decisions, she really is way more complex than meets the eye
I personally found Briar's real skill expression to be a little more akin to a good fiddlesticks skill expression, the combos and mechanics are mostly easy, but the game knowledge and forward thinking that is what really pushes these champions to be incredible. A skilled fiddlesticks reads players and predicts outcomes so that the mechanics become easy, Briar since i started hard one-tricking her feels very akin to this kind of skill expression. Be at the right place at the right time and know why you should be there and Briar's kit falls into place naturally, but when you get sloppy you will be punished nearly every time.
Yo these are actually super helpful. In depth tips, unlike a lot of other vids that just list generic advice, this really makes you think about the game and approach each situation more mindfully. Thanks!
Started playing like 2 weeks ago lol, briar looked cool so I started learning jungle because of her lmao, been watching your videos and they helped me to improve in this short time lol, thank you so much, love from Mexico!
Briar is the one champion where I play her and whenever I die I dont go "I should have had better mechanics there" or "Ah yeah the enemy killed me because they've been playing longer and its just a skill diff, nothing I could do." Instead, every death im like "Okay that was potentially the dumbest thing I've ever done" and I'm looking at my decision making instead of how fast I pressed my buttons/if I landed a skillshot. The combos are all there, but why did i choose to do that combo? Why did I jump into the fight from here? Why didn't I choose to prioritize the squishier ADC? Why didn't I tap E instead of going for the full charge and missing? It feels so unique to play and its a feeling I struggle to get with anyone else
great video can you make a more in depth video about indentifying and playing for win conditions? i feel like its one of he most important things but its very hard to understand at least for me
Yeah it’s def tough because there’s 170 champions That all can be built different That all can be in different roles How strong they get relatively matters Just learn the obvious ones > ADC fed vs teams that can’t kill them Top laner fed when ADC is weak and you’ll be fine Win conditions matters more in high elo, you’re the wincon in anything under masters!
logan hear me out, in a mixed dmg game go, trinity, sundered, zonyas, steraks, wits. the jax build on briar. it goes hard. ultra late game switch zonyas with guardian angel. and feel free to sub titanic and black cleaver when needed.
