I love this. I have a fountain pen i use every day, And occasionally I have to soak the tip in hot water to loosen up any ink. And every time I end up sitting there mesmerized watching the ink slowly come out of the tip and move around inside the water. This is dream decor. I want to build one.
Journey to the Microcosmos showed microbes swimming around in water with some india ink...the very low sterling number dynamics were somewhat visible (though needed higher frame rate). Consider a micro version of your ink-mixing box. :-D
THE upgrade on that machine would definitely be a "debit constant" pump... Now it's somehow an equivalent to an AC electric flow, and it would be much better with a DC equivalent. To do so you can use electrics component equivalent so a sort of "fluid capacitor" section for example that smooth the debit. For sure the result would be even more "hypnotic" 🤩
imagine a machine which not only made but also also took the "vaporized flavor juice" out of your breathe as you breathed out, filtered it and then fed it back into the reservoir. For your choice of "flavor juice". Think of the savings. (It would be a little icky to think that you're breathing in stuff you already breathed out.)
_This is not chaotic at all._ This is obviously _Scar_ (from _The Lion King_ ) -- who has found out all too late he can fly -- delivering the world´s scariest Elephant Shrew to a two-headed, flying alien. _D´uh!_ This is regarding the thumbnail; as for the rest, I have a few pages of notes. By the way, isn´t _AlphaPhoenix2_ just another way of saying _BetaPhoenix_ ?
I love the concept but the color is awful! I wonder what would happen if the flow starts off as Laminar? maybe use mica powder instead of ink. maybe have two laminar flows come from different directions. maybe have something that can make smoke ring type of vortexes. of course since im a black light artist I would like to see fluorescent colors used. this is making my brain go in so many directions🤯

A very smooth and nice camera pan as well. Is it a dolly shot? Then that's a fair bit of engineering just in itself.
First time I used it in a long time, probably since the video about it came out! ua-cam.com/video/47X8VFlnJas/v-deo.html

wow! very, very cool! i think with a multi color led in the back, it would be even coooooler ;-)
Perfect for my SlowTV playlist!
shrimpite spotted
Is it possible to calculate the pump rpm or cycle by counting the puffs of ink per second? It looks like there is a puff every 3-4 frames.
so good

Let's be real here, who would want to refer to themself as beta.
It would’ve been cool if the background light was rotating through the rainbow colors.
It’s too fast and pulsating.
Smooth and slow.
