I am glad to hear that they added a little more retracting to the Grizzly. They made it much better and then you got beat up over the last 30 seconds of the ride. I thought “c’mon! Just finish the job.” I’m looking forward to riding it again this year.

Thanks for posting, I was debating driving over from Ohio, but needed to know if Intimidator 305 was running or not!
I wonder if the tower will ever open? It was closed both times I visited last year.

There was work this off-season on the elevators for the tower. I assume they ran into some complications, and they hope to get it back open by Memorial Day or this summer. But, I have no insider information 🙂

Enjoyed the Video Review- looks like KD is making some improvements....here's what would be nice to see for their 59th Anniversary in 2025 : 1. REPAVE the Front Parking Lot , 2. Give the Front Entrance a TOTAL MAKEOVER, 3. Get the Water Wheel at the Log Flume MOVING AGAIN, 4. Take OUT the BAR that is the Parched Pig and replace it with a FAMILY SMOKEHOUSE- bbq belongs in OLD Virginia, NOT Planet Snoopy, 5. REFURBISH the Cars at BLUE RIDGE TOLLWAY & make their canopies TALL ENOUGH for larger people, 6. Put SHOULDER RESTRAINTS on the Cars at Twisted Timbers, 7. REBUILD that ICONIC MOUNTAIN in Jungle Expedition & include it with the new Coaster being built- the mountain has always been a part of KD's history, whether in the form of Smurf Mountain , Haunted River, or Volcano- it stood apart from all other theme parks that were North of Disney World- REBUILD THE MOUNTAIN, 8. Reconstruct the Grand Entrance of Racer 75 ( Pictures of this can be seen in KD's Golden Years from the 70's), RETRACK & REPAINT the WHOLE Coaster, put CHASER LIGHTS on the railings again- this Coaster had a cameo appearance in the Movie ROLLERCOASTER, it is an ACE Landmark Coaster- BRING BACK THE PRIDE IT DESERVES, and finally RENAME it back to the REBEL YELL

You are delusional. They will never go back to the name Rebel Yell. Confederate names just aren’t excepted in Virginia anymore. I’m a black Redskin fan and it never bothered me. But, it’s time to move on. They will not rebuild the mountain. It was sad to see it go. Financially it doesn’t make sense. Repaving the parking lot? Yes. Shoulder restraints on Twisted Timbers? NO WAY!!! New entrance? It’s fine. Put the $ elsewhere. Chaser lights on Racer 75? Do even better! LED’s exist now. Yes, the log flume wheel should be turning. I would want the front entrance $ used on the old Days of Thunder attraction. Wasted opportunity there for sure. Just my thoughts. I apologize if I sounded “internet hostile”. I appreciated your comment and enjoyed proposing other options.
