I don't know what the odds are, but I started playing this game this week (it has received one of the best fantranslations in existence) simply because of Yoko Kanno's presence for the OST and you just uploaded a video about it... A game that I was sure nobody would ever talk about (a shame, as it's actually damn good).

Wow, I wasn't expecting to wake up today and see a music theory analysis of that weird obscure Dreamcast platformer I tried out once. Bizarre but dope.
And 6-7 years later, and sorry (no, NOT sorry) Cowboy Bebop fans, Yoko Kanno would release the OST for "Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex" (both seasons); to my ears, the best OST for an anime ever made when I discovered it 10 years ago, and it still is today (Violet Evergarden came close to snatch this title from my ears though -- but not quite).
"Slow Water" sincerely has such amazing composition, it wouldn't be out of place at a symphony performance for more eclectic music in the slightest. The structure and buildup that leads up to the strings playing the bass makes for such a beautiful transition.
I'm so happy to see this game covered by your channel. It's one of my all time favorites and it deserves more exposure. Everything Yoko Kanno does is magical
Just opened up the soundtrack and listened to “Cecil’s Garden.” Literally tears formed in my eyes… It’s crazy that I could have gone my whole life without hearing these magical pieces of music.
Great topic and analysis but I am stunned one could make any video, let alone a music video, on Napple Tale without including its signature track "Wild Wind" 😮 I am gonna guess it’s in the Bonus Bits video of the Patreon.

Was delighted to see this in my notifications :)
I love the track 'Dreams in a Pie'. It's a fairly simple pop-like song with whimsical lyrics and its so beautifully arranged with lush instrumentation and great build-ups. I've never played the game but looking at this footage it seems to fit the Alice in Wonderland style perfectly
Somebody discovering this score is always a joy to see. It's one of her best, and that's saying a lot. The albums are Illustrated Guide to the Monsters and Illustrated Guide to the Faeries, and both are worth multiple listenings.
I started playing this game a week ago simply because I have not come into contact with Kanno's music (like at all) until that point and I wanted to change that. She is known as one of the most famous composers of the industry and I have been curious for a long time why that is (apart from the fact she did Cowboy Bebop's OST). Hearing every track of this game for the very first time and in context is absolutely magical.
