My God this song is fabulous, I was seven years old in 1965 and remember hearing this song on the radio while driving in my parents car, I will always love this song, a true, classic by three beautiful ladies..❤️
I was 4 in 1965 & I remember my sisters playing this & the tune never left me - 58 years later. I think its one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The lyrics are straight up poetry, and vocals are just perfect. Simply beautiful music. Well done ladies
I had the privilege of getting their autograph when the Toys appeared at the world famous ApolloTheater 125th street in NYC NY,...I was 15 yrs old...... WOW them girls could sing! 💥💯
I was in Bermuda in 1966. I saw these ladies perform in the Forty Thieves Club in Hamilton. They sang this hit song and gave a terrific performance and were so friendly to the audience.
Best version of this perfect song!😊😊😊😊😊😊💖💖💖💖💖 I feel God's warmth and love with this song! Not sure why but I love it! My mom would always play this in 1979.....she still does! I love all you my brothers and sisters! We are all God's babies! Especially you mamma! God blessed me with your love and warmth still to this day! I'm so grateful! GOD IS GOOD! HE IS ALWAYS PROTECTING YOU.....💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖☮✝
I wasn’t lucky enough to be alive in that time, but this song, along with “Take Good Care of My Baby” and “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” makes me feel like I lived it. I like to think songs like these capture the essence of that time period.
Beautiful melody such as this song will last forever. The tone stuck in my mind, even though I might not remember the lyrics. That is the true power of a great piece of music. Simple timeless!
I love all the falsetto parts. It has some kind of magic that made me feel different. I'm 37 now but this song brings happy and sad feelings to me. I dunno what it was but I love this song.
Been looking for this song for a year now. I had the tune in my mind and could only remember something to do with rain and a rainbow. Made more frustrating the fact that the guitar album Dan & Dale covers this song as JB on the Rocks. Came across Spanish singer Karina singing it which lead me here. So happy I finally found it. I was in elementary school when I first heard it.
I was in the 7th or 8th grade when that song was out! I never knew who the artists were, because they recorded only a few songs. But I definitely loved this song.

I was borned in 1957 and listened to this as a little boy back in the mid 1960's, it sort of puts me flying through the clouds above in some parts of the song and today in 2024 it still does. Infinitely better than condescending/awful/nasty/racist/sexist rap and most hip hop music.
@@claudiocorleone7856 That's what baffles me, when growing up I got along with all races and blacks were friendly and didn't see them as victims but fellow Americans. From 1980's when they starting to glorify gang behavior and stealing because is cool for them, that's where they lost it in the early 1980's in music and rap lyrics.
I heard the kids in one of the music classes here being taught this song (just the melody) in their group piano class, and it drove me NUTS! I knew I'd heard it back in the 60s but the Thai teachers here of course had never heard that pop song. Searched for days, didn't know the group, only that it had been a girl singer. The only "lyrics' I could remember were something about the rain, in the opening line. But I knew the melody had been lifted almost unchanged from Bach, so I searched all kinds of differently-worded queries, and just found it now!!. Like finally getting a splinter in your finger out....the rush of relief....plus, I get re-united with a classic! Great old tune!!
Oh yeah, the great Girl Groups of the 60"'s, first 45 rpm record I ever bought, 98 cents! Plus Doo Whop, R&B, Soul, POP, the Motown, sound great music, good times.
We learned to play Bachs minuet in G on the recorder at secondary school, which became a classic as Lovers Concerto. I want to find my old recorder and do it again. Dear old Mr Bevan at St Crispins hated my singing but loved my recorder playing. Dave age 70.

Used to listen this song when I was a teenager, and it made me daydream how loving someone outside my family would be like. It is a very nice song and one that won't ever become outdated. It says how real love is, and that is only one of its charms.
