You are looking at a board that is not where the optimal working distance is, it's mounted about 1-2cm above. Therefore when using full zoom your autofocus depth is not big enoght for the board on top, (it would work on the lower board thou). The simple solution is to put the microskope on a book or something of about the sam thickness, then you get the correct working distance and it will work just fine. I agree about the software, it should be a more professional solution than YouCam, but as long as you just use it as a microscope you don't need any software at all. Best Regards Mikael

I work in quality engineering and it's an indispensable tool. We just purched a new model to replace our older model. All together it was slight over $9k. The new one we purchased is also capable of measuring when calibrated properly. Our old model was also able to do measurements as well.
