Name of the lead guitar player is Kanami not Katami, try to remember her name, this girl is the best female guitar player in the world!!! Band Maid is phenomenal band!!! Thanks for your reaction.
I always say that Band Maid have an album of ideas going on in one track. Which is part of the reason their songs never feel tired. Let's face it some great music can become a little stale. But Band Maid never gets old. Their music style changes and yet they keep the basic mastery of the overall sound. I love Akane as she just lays the platform without over powering any track. Yet without her the track would sometimes feel on the edge of collapse. To do this much quality and last over ten years . Well they are legendary in my eyes.
I don't know why they picked this particular location for this OMV, but this temple was established more than 400 years ago, and no photo and video recording are allowed inside the temple. So it was extremely rare that the Maids could film this OMV inside the main hall of the temple.
The paradox of Band-Maid is that they keep getting better and better - but then when you go back and listen to their old stuff, you realize they always had it. Akane went to the same prestigious music school as MISA, she takes a lot of inspiration from Nao from Maximum The Hormone, and she was playing bar jazz for a while, so she's got a decent foundation. When she talks about her drumming she always sounds like she's a mediocre drummer who had to work hard to get better, and her bandmates tell the same story. But then you hear her play and she's brilliant - aggressive, creative, musical. Just on a different level from most other rock drummers.
Thanks for the reaction and comments. You're so correct in saying that these ladies never disappoint. Akane and MISA established themselves as one of, if not, the best rhythm section in all of Rock fairly early on in their careers. Saiki, Miku, and Kanami aren't too shabby either as supporting roles. Haha!
Sorry, dear Akane, you know I love and adore you deeply, but whenever I see this MV, I have to think of Animal from the Muppets. 🤭❤🔥🤘🏻 (yes, I'm that old) _____________________ _"America invented rock. IMO, Real Existence and Non-Fiction Days are two of the most Band Maid songs that weren't written by them. They picked the songs they like and Band Maid the s*** out of them.
The only thing I roll my eyes about early Band-Maid stuff, is...the people who damn them with faint praise, give back handed compliments like: "they are so much better now" "The live version is better", "these songs were not written by them" etc., etc. I am of course, biased, as I personally prefer their earlier stuff to the latest, but *I* know I am biased, and comment accordingly, hopefully without the subjective being mistaken for the objective, but I am more than willing to accept my own potential faulty point of view at least lol.
even this begin early on they really showed the talent they later show on full display. its no secret early on Misa was a bit shy and use the whiskey to calm her nerves. i bet now that is less. nothing against them saying the early work is 'here' when we have heard then go 'there'. good talent always evolves =)
Watch the live too... It will blow your mind

I second, the energy is above the roof int he live video.
Band-Maid was already a top-notch artist at this young age.

i may be that old too then XD
Miku-chan could still barely play the guitar here so MISA-san played most of the rhythm parts as "lead" bass.
togther they all make a great sound, regardless

i bet they could make twinkle, twinkle sounds metal
