As a Vietnamese, I feel sorry for the experience you guys had 😢. Nowadays, we don't often travel by train anymore. Instead, we travel by car or aircraft , which are faster and more convenient. Honestly,traffic in my country is pretty bad. But on the other hand, our people are so friendly and Vietnam has so many beautiful places to sightsee . I hope that you guys will have another wonderful experience in our country 🤗

OMG that train ride was a nightmare! I can’t even imagine! First class definitely has a different meaning in Vietnam than in westernized countries! Glad you survived the journey and hope things are better from here on out! ❤

Travel is always an adventure. First rule of travel, don't look for the bugs. Just wrap your head in your sweatshirt and pray for day light. Glad you survived, the coffee looked amazing.

That is the reason I never take trains in Vietnam, I would take the planes or hire private car with a driver. Trains are slow, unconformable... waste of time and money. With a private driver you can rest and stop and sightseeing along the way. Good luck with the rest of the trip.

I remember years ago travelling Pakistan International Airlines from Riyadh to Islamabad via Lahore. The cockroaches were coming out of the crevices around the windows in first class! Dread to think what was behind the galley ovens.
Ran into you guys in Nha Trang and I think I saw you guys at Panorama Hotel where I stayed at. I traveled around the world and I think Nha Trang is a great place to live. By the way, Didn't like Dubai bc too hot and people over there are living in an unrealistic world. Cheers!

@@SensetheLens if you guys decided to travel to the states and want to visit Houston, Tx , let me know. The food here is better then Nha Trang and it very beautiful in Austin, TX. BTW, Emirates have a direct fly from Dubai to Houston.

Sorry you went through this but… It always amazes me why y’all take trains in countries like Vietnam. Where it’s WELL known what the cleanliness standards on trains are AND where plane tickets are so affordable. For the views? There, you had your views.
In Hanoi the popular expression is outside of your home, you are never more than 3 metres away from a rat and that includes elementary schools and restaurants.

I recommend you guys come to Hurghada Egypt. That's where I been living these last 4 months. A big plus is most locals can speak some English let's be honest it makes life easier. Uber is so, so cheap here and very safe to use..
Rentals are cheap, wonderful beaches for snorkeling and diving and it's near to Europe if you guys need to get home. Plus Egypt has just so many places to visit so it's an excellent base to explore the rest of the country.

Con todo respeto. ¿ y que esperabais ???, montar en tren en el sur oeste de Asia es lo que hay,, y Vietnam aún aún,,, no os digo nada, Laos, Camboya etc...En Vietnam para desplazamiento internos hay una aerolínea de bajo coste pero con aviones muy nuevos y calidad precio bastante aceptable que se llama Jet Viet Air.
How disgusting!!! I can't believe that this is their standard for first-class trains in Vietnam. You would think you were on a train in India 40 years ago. I think I would fly or hire a private car myself.
Yea, i'm not surprised.. whenever you're in a 3rd world country.. never take overnight train or lower than 4stars Hotel, reasons being it could be badly managed, locals used to insects n croaches so it does not bother them that's why they sleep with blankets over their head, toilet smelly, bed lice, no hot water running, vomit smell on carpets, cracking sound on broken wooden floors...Ok, u can name it all types of scenarios. I would always book 4-5stars hotel in those countries n only take plane n private taxis... unless you're a nomad, don't shower, can sleep on the floor, not worried about pee smell or foul smell & wildlife, backpacking here n there... that type of train can do for them.

So you go to a tropical country, and there are bugs? Woooooow go figure. I hate when folks visit a foreign country and say like its backward…. The doors are open so bugs will naturally come in…smh def not subscribing
It's not safe to travel to Vn.
Vietnam kinda has a lot of roaches and rats. Most of the time, its just better to not go looking for them for sanity's sake.
