The best lure I use for sea run brown trout in Newfoundland is a 4' nail-painted pink with rings put on one end for a hook and on the other end to tie your line on, I'm going to try a pink worm under a float and see what happens
Before the old man and I stopped fishing for them in the mid to late 2000s, we would occasionally fish some of the western PA rivers, and for the most part i remember getting bigger fish in Ohio, particularly Conneaut. Dont get me wrong, we got some nice fish in PA, there was a stretch of Elk that ws my all time favorite spot...before they built a parking lot by the bridge. You know the spot lol. But this past year or two since we got back into it we always hear about Ohio fish being smaller. Oh, and the slim chickens near me in streetsboro absolutely SUCKS! You will wait 20 plus minutes despite there never being more than a couple cars ahead of you only to get rock hard tenders you know were cooked hours prior and warmed up. Its awful. Especially since when it first opened it was good and shat on raising canes. Not anymore
Man i would love to fish with you guys, looks like a blast man , we do lots of steelhead fishing here in toronto(GTA)ontario area. Its always blast fishing for these beautiful steelhead.
Will this bobber and jig rig work in salt water for Sea Trout to ? I tie my own jig/flyes but using 2.5g and 5g jig heads and i fiah them without the bobber.
This is right in my hometown! That whole river area is a great steelhead fishing

Good question - we've never tried it!
@@TeamPautzke what type of jighead? Is he fishing it under a float? What type of line?
Does he dip his chicken in fire gel to?
Sometimes, he washes his hands before eating. Others, he's so amped up, he just eats. Guy must like shrimp;)
