I.O.I.S. (Part 2) U.S. Navy Photo Reconnaissance Analysis & Mission Applications -1967

I.O.I.S. stands for "Integrated Operational Intelligence System." In 1967 during the Vietnam War it was the U.S. Navy's Topic Secret Intelligence gathering and mission planning unit using state of the art computer systems for analysis and mission plotting. This video (Part 2 of 3) focuses on Photo Reconnaissance operations & analysis, using the area around Haiphong Harbor in North Vietnam as the primary objective. Film from photo reconnaissance flights is carefully analyzed and used for computerized targeting for U.S. Navy carrier aircraft.
