I realized I needed to stop when the whites in my eyes were yellow. I went from 4 30 pks 3 Jim Beam's a day. To being completely sober cold turkey it was the worse feeling I ever had. I'm sober today 18 yrs and counting I did it for me. I can honestly say without a doubt I drank to mask pain. I'll also say this yes it was the best decision I ever made but truthfully sobriety sucks. I have nothing but love and respect for you Struggle, you and Jelly-Roll really have helped me through some tough times I almost went back to the bottle. Thank you for your music.

This song hits hard. I saw Struggle in Des Moines IA, and I loved his show. I also did a meet and greet with him, and he made a video for my kids on my phone to send to them. All 4 of my kids have been fostered and adopted. Now I’m dealing with separation and divorce (none of which was my choice). It hurts because the people who are most impacted are the kids. I was kind and nice throughout all of it and I’m still trying to be nice, but it’s hard when I’m not treated fairly. I hurt the most for the kids and all they’ve gone through, and now have a new challenge in life to deal with.

Man this song really hits home no doubt about it. To any person who is going through some rough and hard times right now please don’t ever give up. No matter how bad it seems life is or how much it hurts you inside you gotta keep fighting those demons. I promise you everyday you wake up and do positive things in your life time will heal your pain and there’s a helluva lot better days on the way! Drugs and alcohol just dim the pain for a few hours and and will only lead you down a path of darkness. Been there done that so many times it’s pitiful but I finally realized these things before it was too late to save myself!!! Lost my brother in Nov and damn it hurts so F~N bad and it always will. I’m stuck thinking wtf should I or could I have done differently to make life better for him so he would still be here. DEMONS DEMONS DEMONS with snakes wrapped around my head but I know if I take the wrong path again either dead or in jail is where my life is headed. Awesome song Mr Jennings

I'm 42, ain't never struggled with drinking or drugs, but the depression, since I was 12 a life of torture and health attacked me, getting worse ,..your music keeps me going. Omg, I have lost so many people and your music helps me stay strong.I replace your drinking with the way I guess, I'm addicted to my own depression
Stay strong Amanda, I'm one who deal's with my own demons that is addiction! But, I know all about the depression I watched my mother battle depression all my life even up to her death, on Feb, 10th 2022. She would fall into depression mode, and there was not much we could do too pull her out. I've been clean for 10 yrs but, my new friend is depression if you ever want someone to just chat with who will never judge you let me know we will exchange info . Hold you're head high!!!

@@kicknit3935 I just went and seen Jelly and Shinedown in concert a few months back and it was packed full. Jelly Roll was suppose to be the opening for shinedown but, he easily stole the show. Any artist wants as many people as possible to hear their music, I understand they don't intentionally place themselves in media or showoff for paparazzi but that doesn't mean they don't wanna be heard or don't deserve to be heard.

And I saw demon jones and calhoune in reading at a small venue. I wouldn't go see any of them in a stadium again. Even though I love the music. Just not the same.

It's been 3 months since I've heard or seen her. I sit in my house all alone drinking myself into oblivion 😔. No matter what I do. This state doesn't care about fathers. It's a mother's state. No matter how bad her mother does. She never faces any consequences. I've had men put pistols to my head. And I've screamed at them to shoot. Only for her mother to get between us and then say later on she saved my life.... Like no you've ruined it

Sitting around feeling sorry for yourself isn’t gonna do any good for you. Show that you can be a role model and a parent. Put the bottle down and get your ass up. @jessicockrillfficial I don't think my little girl would turn on me. But that's my worse fear in this entire world. I know as of this moment her mother really is trying to poison her against me. And I figure her mom is deep down hurt that our child has grown so close to her daddy...
I never wanted her mom to hate me for that. I actually hoped she would see the beauty in it and love and appreciate me for it. But instead I've gotten a mass amount of resentment and self projection.
She's had men threaten my life. Put pistols in my face. Tell me thier my child's father now. Tell me if I didn't stop trying they would hurt me.
And understand my life moto has always been.. "I'm a lover not a fighter... But I'll be damned if I don't fight to death for what I LOVE!" And I've tried to fight many men over my child. None of them when it came time actually was willing to step to me for that matter. But mentally I sit here going through a lot of pain fighting to be in my beautiful little girls life. And it's costed me everything. Between Jobs, Places to live, friendships, relationships, family and countless time and money. But all of that is more then worth my child's love for me and never abandoning her
