The idea of making an arrangement of Carol of the Bells came to me during the Christmas season and I worked on this arrangement at the end of the last year. Finally we got chance to record it.
It was an another compositional adventure for me, like Canon in D, where I tried to build my own musical structure based on simple motives from the existing tune, instead of literal 'transcription' of a song.
The opening of the piece was inspired by Liszt's arrangement of Saint-Saëns' Dance Macabre.

IDK what the people who originally wrote carol of the bells were thinking, the only thing carol of bells makes me think of that is vaguely christmas-y is WINTER IS HERE AND ITS F*CKING FREEZING.
Would you say one part is more difficult than another? I'm thinking the upper part is less difficult to learn than the lower part, is the right?
In my(our) opinion, upper part(1st piano) was actually more trickier than the other.
