Absolutely stunning Steve definitely not to be missed it's just like being there. 😊☆.
Fantastic selection Steve, just the job to cheer everyone up in these strange times, thanks or sharing. Let's hope we can get back to normal in the very near future. :)
Thanks Mike , always good to see steam at speed and I’m pleased you enjoyed it 👍
A marvelous compilation Steve...Good to watch steam again.
Fantastic compilation with a great variety,UOSA coasting up Shap summit,I do love the video's from Penrith as engines belt through there. Many thanks
Thank you very much,sir.
In my opinion, nothing beats the impressive atmosphere and drama of a steam loco at full throttle, on brittle cold winters day when steam, smoke and the sound fill the local area. The Selside Shaw clip for me was the best of the lot. Great countryside, clearly very cold, snow, mountains and a steam loco belting along!
Have you ever considered getting high quality still images and doing a calendar? If not, young man you should do and you Nige!
Thanks for the kind comments as they are much appreciated. Selside Shaw was s memorable shot I must admit plus the driver Gordon gave me the long whistle I’d asked him for. Good idea re calendar printing 👍
Enjoyed that, Steve, a great selection in all conditions. Keith.
Nicely put together Stephen and great locations. Mount Edgecumbe and Duchess look a decent pairing. Cheers. 👍👍
Thanks David, the Earl and the Duchess certainly weren’t hanging about and I maybe should’ve used the return shot an all 🤔
Excellent compilation Steve, great to get some archived steam action. Well done 🤓 stay safe 💙
Thanks Anthony, hard to pick shots from my archives as I’ve got plenty 👍😂
Fabulous. I must say the Britannia's sound absolutely sensational! Thanks for posting this. :-)
Love Steam Trains
Hi everyone, I live in wilson's promontory, Gunai and GunaiKurnai, victoria, Australia.
I have been inspired by british locomotives and the british monarchy.
Fantastic compilation Steve, love no9 at Selside Shaw, plenty of exhaust on a cold day, cheers .
Thanks Steve, did enjoy the Selside shot I must admit plus Gordon Hodgson gave the long whistle I’d asked him for at Hellifield 👍
Amazing video, nice trains in wonderful landscape! Best regards from Germany, Railherbie
Thanks Railherbie , pretty lucky where I live with the fantastic scenery I must admit 👍
Brilliant compilation Steve . Great to see locos at speed. Nice selection of engines. Nothing around about now that England are in lockdown. Us in Wales are now out of lockdown. And nothing to video. Just typical. Kind regards C&A
Thanks C&A, tried to mix the locos up a bit and I know what you mean steam wise at the moment ☹️
Great selection Steve, and it's all safely in the can! We can enjoy it anytime - wonderful, is it not? Thanks very much for enlivening or lockdown!
Si tuviera tiempo y dinero ,creo que viajaría toda mi vida así, gracias hermoso vídeo.
Nice compilation Steve, very enjoyable
Thanks Austin, usually hard to get steam at speed on Shap or the S&C but now and again we are blessed 👍
Nice compilation Stephen. Love the Lizzie shot at Rainhill. Oh a notable error on that 1T57 Fellsman mate it was 45231 that double headed with 44932 as 45305 at the time was at Crewe. Nice compilation anyway. Hope ya doing well. Richard
Thanks Richard, so it was 45231 as I had a clip of 44932 and 45305 at Shap Summit that I didn’t use and mixed up the number ☹️
A superb compilation of notable performances, thanks Steve, all expertly captured. You don't state your favourite(s) but mine are UoSA at Selside Shaw 09:25 and the final shot at Penrith. Kind regards, Bob
Thanks Bob, Selside Shaw was special in the snow but 46115 at 2-00 for the raw power is my favourite as the sound was superb that day 👍
Great video! However, is it just me, or does 46115 sound wildly out of timing?
Oh wow!! I didn't know Lizzie was running again?
Thanks for the kind comment 👍The shot of Lizzie was actually from 2011 but she is now doing tours out of Carnforth for the near future.
Wow a great compilation Steve, When was the second one with two black 5's I'm guessing bomb fire night? they sounded like they were charging into a battleground. - Joe
At first I though they were detonators on the track, then realised it was bonfire night with that storm in the background.
Thanks Joe , the second shot was bonfire night indeed as I’d filmed the 5,s at Carnforth as the moved the stock and then headed to Lancaster ( they were moving the stock for a tin bath the next day )
@@greghilton7797 Thanks Greg it was indeed bonfire night and I was lucky as the fireworks started just as the pair arrived 👍
That display on Shap at 2:22 was magnificent. No diesel at rear. Great work, although from Oz I am sad you are again in an ineffective lockdown. But not nearly as long as Melbourne's where we have a ratbag socialist state Premier.
Thanks Edmund, the shot at 2-22 was amazing that day as I just stood and listened to what was developing 👍 Our lockdown is not as bad as the 1st so fingers crossed 🤞
Something to bring a bit of pleasure in these miserable times - thanks Steve. Can see why they're amongst your favourites. Take care - Chris
Thanks Chris, hard to pick fast trains over Shap but managed a few 👍
