Always great to get into the log and have the pups exchange greetings! Nice to see Hazel on watch with you. Serendipty texting you while you were activating. Hope you got Hazel all dried off!
Well once again I missed you on this one. I keep checking POTA/SOTA for you and the RBN and most times when I do find you I can't hear you . Cycle 25 is not proving to be a big banger in my opinion, I"ve seen a lot better conditions thru out the cycles befoee this one. but will keep hunting so have no fear Tom I'll get in ur log again for sure . thanks for sharing, de Ellis WA1RKS
Is the battery charged on the speaker? I've had the same problem before. Also had RF problems too. Just a thought. Thanks for QSO. I was using my QMX connected to a Hexbeam...QRP to QRP. Gotta' love it. K5DEZ

Always great to work you, OM! Please give Sophie a proper petting on my behalf. :)
Hazel is a good dog! Nice activation and video! Love the scenery!!!
Thank you!
The internal speaker sounded just fine to me. I find it easier to listen to weak but clear signals over loud but distorted
What is the speaker? Sounds great! Nicely done as always!
THanks, Josh. That's the Anker Soundcore Mini: amzn.to/43Wf0nP (affiliate). I have two of them!

We'll make contact again, my friend! Yes, prop has been rather wonky!
Time to include Hazel in POTA…saddle bags with a KH1/KX1 + and AX1 shouldn’t bog her down too much!
She would make for a great pack doggy! :)
Hazel is a great dog.
She is indeed. We're so lucky to have her int he family.
Could the noise on the speaker picking up RF from Clingman's Peak the next mtn over from Mitchell? Lots of RF over there.
Huh...maybe so. Never thought about that.

Yes, the battery was charged for sure. Thank you for the QRP2QRP contact! :)
Do you know the wire gauge of the silicone wire used in your counterpoise? Seems to be perfect.
I believe it's 26AWG, possibly 24. I can't see any markings on the jacket.
