I think the reason why the girlies don’t talk about it is because it’s so ubiquitous. But it’s really a fantastic indoor and outdoor plant and forever a fave
@@TheMillennialPlantDad yes! Mine was a markdown, the caudex is huge and it’s doing so well in an east window…I just have to remember to not water it 🌱🤣
I hadn't thought about the cast iron plant for a long time. I've been getting the perfect spot for it--but for a minute there they were really expensive here in the U.S. Looks like pricing has calmed down 😁 Thanks, MPD
That’s probably the most over looked house plant in the world lol . Prices have still refused to come down here , but hopefully soon ! Thanks for always showing up and engaging 💚🪴
Aglaonemas have always been a challenge for me. White grubs tend to damage the stems each time. But your lush beauties have encouraged me not to give up. Maybe I could be more successful in a soilless medium. 😊
Near me in Canada cast iron plants are more expensive, understandably I killed my first 2 Adensonii’s, now? I have one on a moss pole thriving, leaves 5 times the original size, living its life, I just had to learn how to care for it.
Babes i love a good pothos...i had to cut my neon up but im propagating of course...i also have quite a few golden...a marble queen and a baltic blue...i love them
I lovvvvveeee all of your video. Your vibe is amazing I love you manurisms while explaining your plant babies Your advice yur clips you edit it. Chefs kiss my friend. Oh last compliment your outfits amazing.. stop olaying with them!!!!! Lmao
I have a neon pothos, and I adore it, but I do not find it to be easier than the others (golden, N'Joy, Pearls and Jade, Manjula, Marble Queen) nor faster growing. On the contrary, mine has had root rot (the others have never) and it's the only one that's taken over 2 years to trail to the bottom of its pot.
Cast iron plant! In Florida we grow it as a landscape plant that can go from full sun to shade and grows in our native soil, which is primarily sand. I spent 4 hours dividing my 5 gallon variegated plant this weekend because it had broken through the nursery pot it was in. When I was done I had a 5 gallon pot and two 8 inch pots. Not bad considering I got it as a small 1 gallon pot 3 years ago. Everyone should have some.
I'm growing cast iron plant from rhizomes. It's been a learning curve. I should've bought an already established one. But it's been rewarding seeing leaves starting to peek out the ends.
@brooke5258 That's awesome! I would have never thought you could grow them from the rhizome. I hope once it gets growing that it does really well for you. They are great plants.
The Big Ben is expensive where I live in the US, and I can't find it online for a good price either. I don’t think we have many here yet. Which is a bummer because I really want it hahaha!
have been looking for a cast iron plant / aspidistra for a little while now but the garden centers around here (northern europe) don't seem to be selling them at the moment. but it's on my list, i'd love to get one some time in the future. agreed on the yucca tree and the aglaeonema and also the monstera adensonii, they all do very well with not much care or fuss. but I have to laugh whenever you mention that you 'forgot' to water a certain plant for 1 or 2 months, like how does that even happen? all the other ones get a drink and some girlies are just completely ignored? 😅
lol I have too many plants and sometimes especially if they aren’t all in the same place, I’ll definitely forget watering them which is why I will forever love a plant that can handle neglect 🤭🤭 I hope you get a cast iron plant, if you can find a variegated one , those are even prettier 😍
@@TheMillennialPlantDad I will keep searching for that cast iron plant! Love your collection, and yes, I can understand that sometimes you will forget a plant because you have them in several rooms and so many on your patio and outside.
That Big Ben Dieffenbachia!! OMG!!! I have never seen that variety, it's gorgeous!! I have many dieffenbachias, I love them and Aglaonemas! BTW, can you tell me the difference between those 2 plants?? I just looked and that variety is a little too pricey for me right now, but I will keep an eye out for that one to drop prices. That Snow Queen is absolutely stunning!!! I have one but mine is much smaller. How do you get them to that size? I have like 5 small stalks in one pot. I think I had this about 2 years. I do have another upstairs that is much bigger but I THINK that one is a dieffenbachia. How do you tell the difference???? Is that a Calathea White Fusion underneath that Ponytail Palm?? Again, how do you get them so big????
Thank you ! Hmm obvious difference between a Dieffenbachia and an Agloanema is that Dieffenbachia always have more prominent stems as they mature and they tend to have much more bigger leaves . Agloanema will remain fuller instead and compact, and their stems are not as prominent, and that’s definitely not a white fusion, it’s a type of Euphorbia 🤭
I love my Cast Iron (mine is variegated) and my Ponytail Palm! And I agree, "M. adansonii" is so much more beautiful, easy, and practical than "M. deliciosa".
I love that variegated Big Ben. Been looking around for one and they are so expensive. Hoping the price comes down on them soon because there is a corner that it would look great in.
@@michaelmccarthy4077 if i could ship plants outside of nigeria i would ship to you ! They are reasonably affordable here . Hmmm let me find out if I can . Are you in the US?
@@TheMillennialPlantDad I am, but AFAIK Nigeria is not a "partner country" and subject to additional restrictions on importing. Like I can bring in up to 10 plants or $500 worth from Thailand without paying for an import permit and customs inspection. But I do appreciate the offer. Prices will drop on it, they always do.
“Inheritance from your late grandmother!?!?” 😂 😂

Wow! 😮 Your aglaonema is gorgeous and the only plant from your "must-have" collection" 😊❤💚
Big second for the neon pothos and pony tail palm. No one talks about the pony tail and not sure why. It’s a unique, affordable and tolerant plant. 💚

Cast iron super expensive here too for some strange reason! Glad you finally got the hang of the Adansonii 🥰
Golden pothos grows faster here in the USA where Iive. The NEON pot hos grows slowly. I agree with the durability of the Gucci and cast iron plants.
Probably needs more light. Mine grew slow until I gave it more light. It's growing crazy fast now!
