Thank you very much, my eye movements make me see black spots and also going from a place with little light to a lot of light causes the same thing, I didn't know the explanation behind it.
Does the midbrain itself cause the pupils to constrict, or is it the inhibitory firing from the frontal lobe that suppresses the midbrain, which then constricts the pupils? It's a little confusing, as you would assume a midbrain with stronger/heightened activity would hold the pupils more dilated as opposed to constricted, in order to make the host more aware of and alert to their surroundings.
