I don’t know what I’m more impressed with… his accuracy, flextape, or that damn table
The ground was probably soft which took more damage due to the vibration caused by the wrecking ball or after all the items dropped on it the ground slowely got softer then when a heavier and more dense object fell, the ground eas soft enough to take all the damage which kept the table from snapping.

To be fair: The sand under the table legs gave it a significant boost in dealing with that wrecking ball. Being able to sink into it like that helped a lot.
Even still, it's impressive!!
Oh yeah it probably helped with the other stuff too so the legs in the table dont break
And the fact that the table was pretty big so the energy spread to the whole surface
@Death1974 yeah, if this was concrete, the whole thing would cave in from the anvil.
was gonna mention this as well, the initial impact the flextape can take is still incredibly impressive.
Correct on one side but misleading in another. Since they have to demonstrate flextape’s strength, doing this on concrete would mean having the table’s legs break and the objects hit the ground together with it, nullifying any pressure. If the table doesn’t go down, you can show if flextape works or not.

The ultimate battle: flex tape vs Nokia
I think the anvil is more impressive than the wrecking ball. Because the wrecking ball being round, has its entire surface area to sort of form into the tape. The anvil seemed like it was just gonna rip right through it.
I thought the Anvil was going through it for sure.
That depends on what part of the anvil hit the tape first. If it went pointy side first, I expected it to go straight through as well.
Not really because the anvil is not as heavy as the wrecking ball so that means the kinetic energy won't be as high
@@bIakeeeKE doesn’t really matter. It’s the force needed to go through the tape. Any point on the anvil would be more so because all the downward force is being condensed and applied to one small point. If it’s even like the ball it would spread out…evenly. So not as much
I don't think it's a regular anvil tbh, from the way he's holding it to the way it rebounds, seems way too light imo
That table is the real mvp.

If Omni-Man made commercials
Actually, the table being on top of loose substrate helps absorbing a lot of the force, as it pushes its legs into the sand. The results would've been different if it was tested on a table atop a concrete floor.
Indeed, if the table had been restrained in some way and/or was placed on top of a flat surface then the results should be majorly different
But then the table would have been broken not much the tape
@andiletshabalala6643 doesn't matter what kind of surface. If the table breaks before the flex tape on a flat hard surface, it is still going to break first before the tape on a softer surface. Both objects are experiencing the exact same reduction in energy being in the sand.

The wrecking ball did more damage to the floor than the flex tape!
I did the math based off of some general assumptions. Lets say that the position he dropped it is 200 feet high. I did some research, and found a cast iron anvil that weighs about 88 lbs and is about 16 inches long (based off of the average size of an adult human hand). The flex tape is estimated to be around 2 feet off of the ground. This means that from that 198 foot long fall, after 3.7 seconds, the flex tape withstood roughly 392 newtons of force. (This is based off of estimates) This took me an hour, and no i do not have a life. Thanks for reading this

You're more impressive than both the flex tape and the guy's accuracy. Wow!
