Anita Kerr was popular around the time we got married. We are both vocal musicians and we appreciate her sound now as much as we did 54 years ago. we especially enjoy tight harmony and she's one of the best! Keep singing, Anita!!. 🎶😲 👍
This incredible woman never achieved the recognition she deserved for those incredible hits recorded in Nashville, many of which she produced with others getting the credit.
Familiar story in the music business...Many session musicians and singers were world class in their own right..

She and her groups were enormously popular unit she rolled back her recording and went into arranging and producing. When she moved overseas, she virually disappeared from the scene in America.

What a great 60's collection of some of the best compositions ever made. Great covers! It's like you hear The Carpenters, The Mamas & The Papas, The Beach Boys and The Beatles all together in one big musical carnival with a 50's close harmony sauce poured over it. Oh... and of course a special ingrediënt: Burt Bacharach!
Wonderful tribute to an amazing musician! Have always been a big fan! She was kind enough to correspond with me many times in the '60s. She even sent me a photostat of her acapella arrangement for "A House is Not a Home."

The first song called, "Welcome to my world." was the CF song for Korean air in 70's and 80's. People who are 40 years young and up in Korea all know this song.
Wonderful, relaxing vocal music. This style of song is lost on today's generation. Now, if you can scream unintelligently you can become a singing(?) sensation.
BB.....You are absolutely right, people say that things have changed, ok but certainly not for the better, the production values generally then were much better and will endure far longer than much of today's music made from the many kids..... and the ones starting out today who seem to think that they are absolutely incredible, are inconsolable if told some home truths (told they are bloody awful/go back to ya day job)
What kind of music are YOU listening to? Heavy metal? They might be screaming over there, but basically, most are just moaning & groaning, elsewhere, trying to emphasize emotion, I suppose.

This group changed through the years. Singers would come and go but Anita Kerr had amazingly high standards and they were consistently good whether they were singing on their own or as backup. There has never been a group that always had such tight harmony in whatever they sang. I have always been a fan. Anita Kerr was an amazing woman.

This music is classic. It'll span the ages and always be a delight to hear , but also raise your heart. Anita is the perfect instrument. Pitch perfect. a gift seldom heard. there are some cd's out there.

Probably the best singer around. I'm talking Anita and her direction. Genius Harmony. I've gotten into producing Jingles for Radio and TV. I decided to listen to the master. Try to understand Harmony Anita Style. Wish me luck because it's like Wally Cox wanting to learn to box like Muhammad Ali. I get in the ring and Anita watches me saying: "Poor Dear...He just doesn't have it." That's how I come away after listening to this great organization.
