I absolutely love this series! I like to work with civil war reproduction fabrics and was planning a log cabin quilt, but after seeing your underground railroad series, I am inspired to do a sampler quilt instead. Thank you for the inspiration, and all of the research that you have done! You're the best!!

Hi Stephanie, I have been undecided on what quilt to make with my civil war fat quarter bundle and I love the Underground Railroad theme and history. Thanks

I think this is really interesting. I read a series of stories ( based in history but novel form) and I'm enjoying your take on this.

Jennifer Chiaverini wrote several novels based on early USA history revolving around quilt making including Underground Railroad quilts. I think you might enjoy reading some of her books.
Nancy Zeiman interviewed Jennifer a couple of times on her Sewing With Nancy TV program.

Jennifer's 4th book The Runaway Quilt looks at the history of the Underground Railroad.
This one is off topic, but I really enjoyed her book titled The Aloha Quilt which includes a wealth of historical information about Hawaii.

I’m doing something similar on my channel. I like how great minds are alike. I’m not discussing the block during the video, but looking for classic blocks and giving their history in the description box. Have a great day. I look forward to the next video

Stephanie, I had toyed with the idea of buying that book because I have heard from some other quilters that they were having problems following some of the instructions. I love the idea of the book and may get it just for the history. I would much rather watch you and get your measurements, the best way to assemble the block and hear some history that I wasn't aware of. Such as Ohio being the birthplace of the bear paw block. Besides, I absolutely love the "civil war" era fabric. Loved the video, thank you. 👍

Wonderful history & railroad connection . CUTE CUTE! Thank you . OMGosh " all a myth" ?!?!? well handled! I should look & see if there's a mountain lion or cougar block , I've seen both here in the wild 😬. Black bears are migrating close though , just a couple counties over recently . I'd like to make one of these & rename it LOL Thanks for the idea 🥰 So far this morning I've added the larger iron , acorn pen, & the red rotary cutter to my wish lists LOL My hubby is gonna need a second job 😂🤪 hmmm BTW Super Steph is in Ohio, so my opinion is it must be pretty cool ;) OH MY GOSH Travis Kelce too 🤯❤🧡🤍🖤
