I've been a fan since this first video and I gotta say I liked it when Maddi's videos were just like this. Nothing fancy, just Maddi and a mic. Now all her videos are glitzed up and all the modifications distract from her amazing voice.
i totally agree! I like these simple videos a lot more than all these overproduced music videos. they're still amazing but the acoustic ones just show off her voice a lot better and do her more justice

This is the start of Maddi's public singing path (at least on YT; she was performing much earlier on stages in her local area). She has since shared she didn't expect the good microphone or camera, that was provided. A week after it was uploaded, someone on Ellen's staff noticed the video on You Tube, and she was invited to perform. The rest is history.
