I have 3 KS5L and a crap ton of KS2 and KS1. I solo mine with all of them. I make way more solo then i would pool mining (done the tests). When the alts hashrate drop i jump over to them and mine a bunch till it heads back up, then i sell those coins for Kaspa. But typically, im solo mining Kaspa. Even today with these high hashrates with around 60th i hit about 6-8 blocks a day solo mining. Month or so back i tested solo mining with one of my KS0 Ultras vs pool mining, and even that with its small hashrate did better solo then with a pool. Took longer to hit a block, but that reward was still higher than pool mining for 30 days.
May i ask something?...how can the crescendo hardfork (10 BPS) will come in Q1 2025 when they just announced at 9th of January that they are gonna start a new testnet....testnet12 for the regular users/exchanges to test it.... if the last testnet lasted 1 year + how long will this testnet last?.... It's weird they said after Rust implementation (which was 1.5 years ago) the updates will come quick...... and here we are about to miss this bullrun as an ecosystem cause we have been stale for this past year = which reflects the price stalemate... And don't get me started about the Binance listing... which in my opinion is fugazi it ain't coming if it would ... it would have happened ages ago...
Its goal was to be as basic as possible for newcomers. I had to keep retaking because I would go ahead of myself and give way too much detail that is better for dedicated videos. I would like to hear your thoughts though on where you think it could have been improved. Being you are a miner the fact you feel it was lacking kinda affirms my goal with the video.
@KaspaSilver I'm also a Red Panda Mining fan, and taking part in a new project that just recently launched; the devs announced tonight that there is a deal in the works with Tangem for a wallet with its logo. If I can't find a Kas design I like soon from tangem, then I'll probably settle for one of the other 2
Hi, i followed your video about Kaspa NG to run a node , which actually is running. Do i need to change or adapt something with the actual test on Testnet 11 ?
I would say it’s worth the go especially since it’s one of the higher end models. Just know you gotta go into with a long term mindset cause it is still random but your odds are very high.
This is so confusing I’ve been mining about a month now on my ks5pro and it is a long term thing but what is your definition of long term? I want to make sure I’m utilising it to its best potential?
Solo mining is not a guarantee of finding blocks in the expected time. You can go a month with nothing and then 1 day find 3 in single day. So if you go in expecting the most right away then you may be better off pool mining.
@@KaspaSilver I’m not expecting the most. I have my miner running 24hrs. I guess I want to know if 1month pool mining is better or worse than 1month solo
@1neydj150 impossible to say yes or no because the odds are random. This is what I mean by you gotta play the long game if you gonna go into solo. 1 month is not enough time to be certain which one is better.
I never touched asics as i a was afraid of getting rekd by bitmain & iceriver as many did. Was looking back at some old photos where i hit 15 blocks in 2.5 days with my gpus, crazy part is i got 220 kas per block and now it is 69!

Great explanation 🙌
It is worth noting that with 10BPS upgrade the reward will be reduced by 10 times, which is 6.9 kaspa per block.
Yes, this is true. I was trying my best to limit how much info I put out to try and make this as basic as possible for newcomers. Thanks though!
I've been investing into kaspa for just over a year now and I'm thankful to have you in the kaspa community sir.
Thank you for your support!
another day
another great vid!
Kaspa is already a perfect peer to peer cash , adoption is going to be crazy, visa and Mastercard interested in this

Kaspa Silver. Love everything you do and you are the best smartes when it comes to kaspa. But as miner myself, was this video somwhat lackluster.

15:28 i prefer the black tangem cards with the teal K (for Kaspa) in the center. Unfortunately, im unable to find them anywhere so i can order one 😢
Those are completely sold out unfortunately.

I wish we had cheaper energy in germany man
There’s also hosting you can look into. Someone else host the miners for like 8c per kwh and you just pay the electric bill.

When the hard fork happens to 10BPS you will have ample time to update your node first.
So if you have for example a ks5 pro miner, does this mean you should be solo mining?
