My question is simply this, in the beginning of your tutorial you hit the sync button once on each CDJ. Is this something you only do once or do you have to hit the sink button again throughout your set?

I've never played digital, only vinyl. Watching this confused me a little bit, and I would like to ask you following: 1) When A is master, how did A know that you turned down the volume from mixer? I noticed the light changed to blue. 2) How exaclty became B master? Just by adjusting the pitch to A or by turning A's volume down? Because at the setup you set A to master manually and B and C to sync. I would have expected to hit the master button. 3) What happens if you don't adust B's tempo? Will it keep the speed which A had? 4) Will all the tracks be auto pitched once synced? 5) What happens if you just moved the volume slider down for A and load a new track and change the pitch?
If I bring back the original deck that had the “master” assigned, would it all go back to how it started? Or would I have to click the “master” button again (and again and again😅) as I take out and bring back deck 1 ? Thanks for the video !!
I stopped using sync last week on live set at a club because It was messing everything up, now this makes more sense.... just wish the tempo switching worked for all tracks. a bit confusing .. 🥴
Hey I'm on my lunch break at work , your channel is simply excellent mate I want to be able to like or not both here lol The dislike being this feature makes everyone be a DJ and lazy !! The like part that thus shows those djs how to sync and do it correctly It's like a Lighting fixture dmx mode, one is the master etc in the link chain , works the same The dislike was me just because of the sync in the end lol
@CSM 18 nice 1 mate thanks , hmm yes vinyl always first for sure I'm glad you like the mixes , I try to mix the way I use to as club DJ back in the days , I've got controllers, cdjs. DVS etc tho lol Sync is great for performance djs more I suppose I'm not totally say it's not great , just that more djs will not learn basics and go straight to creative mode without the foundations
I've had issues when sync is on but I think that's the nature of some of the funk tunes I play. The speed of the tracks vary a bit throughout so sync really fucks a mix up because Rekordbox hasn't been able to properly analyze the bpm
Hey! If you spin back on CDJ's in Sync then the 'slave' deck just carries on and when the master stops spinning back it syncs again but only to the beat, not the beat in the bar, just the kick. Pot luck if you hit the 1. Hope that helps.
The term PITCH is so misleading. It's all about tempo, well in this demo. I wish everyone would rename it tempo. No pitch was manipulated in this nor most digi djing. Not a knock at you, just going back to music, pitch is pitch and tempo is tempo. Hey, I I've still got residual shots from R and B going from rythmn and blues to what ever bullshit soft cock stuff they came out with in the early nineties. Thanks for a great video man. @@ReboyGTR precisely my point. It's different now and albeit a small thing, the terms for the controls should be different. If the pitch is not affected then it shouldn't be called a pitch control. different now.
This set up has ruined the artform of dejaying in a way. I always practiced my beatmixxing and have it on point. I mean, i like the sync thing, but, noob jocks dont know anything
It's just a given that you should be able to mix by ear... at the end of the day it's all about tune selection and how you present them, not if you can get the beats together manually. Time has moved on...

So when you fade out a deck with the volume, it automatically removes the master and switch it to the right ?

Just do a video too show me how to ensure that none of the decks are using beat symc if the previous dk was using it

It's from ye olden days when using turnables which didn't have key lock/master tempo so the pitch changed as well as the speed.

Don’t use sync if you want to actually learn how to DJ. Sync is faking the actual process of djing. Just a tip for beginners.
