Dragon's Approach is only bad if you don't know how to abuse it.
There is nothing bad about Dragon's approach. That card is nuts.
Is it wrong to never have played MTG, having to pause every 0,03 seconds to read the cards and still have no idea when he's being serious? Triengls are cool I guess

As a fellow person that also has never played MTG, what I gather is... You uh... Somehow discard and redraw your hand a bunch to get a triangle of dragons. I think.

A meme deck that burns everyone while tutoring dragons doesn't sound like the worst thing ever
I use Solphim, cards that damage when I cast an instant or sorcery like Guttersnipe, and go for Themberchaud to clear the board or close the game out.

Something about just "Convickin" killed me.
I went a different more aggressive direction. Solphim Mayhem Dominus commander, 35 Dragon's Approach, and loads of fast mana/rituals to get Solphim out and activate his ability to discard 2 Dragon's Approach and give him an indestructible counter as early as possible. Solphim lets you pitch 2 cards into your graveyard for 1 mana and he makes every Approach deal 6 damage instead of 3.

I have won dragons aproach in EDH using the elder dragon commander that turns all artifacts into mana rocks for sorcery or instant cards.
I just gave them all fucking storm and cast it 4 times. 6, 9, 12, 15, oh look 36 damage, and it's turn 8 so noone has 40 life

I built basically this deck, but with Plargg as my commander. Its super easy to get the approach trigger by turn 3/4.

I remember seeing that card and immediately wanting to break it. Magda 7 dwarves into thrummingstone GG? Also some fun tricks like running mutavault as a dwarf that taps for mana to add treasure. Kinda neat, very consistent.
I didn't run Seven Dwarves on my Magda's Approach,and now I partially regret it. Needed space for the 55 Dragon's Approaches, though.
@@alfazagato1455 I went at a comfortable 49. Haven't wiffed yet on thrumming stone. Even had room for some good, synergistic dragons like goldspan dragon, in case I need to play the fair game.
I didn't even run any dragons. Just some not-Seven dwarves, easy treasure lines, and Thrumming Stone. Don't need dragons when their mere Approach kills my opponents.
@@alfazagato1455 Some dragons are both. Look at young red dragon's adventure for making a nice extra treasure. Patron of the arts, swashbuckler extraordinaire, and rapacious dragon make them on entry. It's not much, but it can serve as a decent plan B if plan A ever fails.

Gonna have to disagree with this assessment, substantially. Dragon's Approach works MUCH better in Rakdos colors.
Adding a splash of reanimate atop the wheel effects make the entire strategy synergize far better. Bladewing sitting idle in the 99 can be an absolute showstopper after a few wheels have padded out the graveyard. Add some tutors for more consistency and you're off on the hurdles!
Obosh is my pick for a Dragon's Approach commander. Doubling the damage makes the burn effect actually worthwhile, thus getting the absolute maximum value out of the card.
