A Quick Pattern Project: Fridge Hinge Part 2

- After I, (Dave's editor and son-in-law), foolishly broke a door hinge off of my fridge, I looked everywhere to find a new part to fix it. After calling the manufacturer and finding out they don't make them anymore, Dave hit the pattern shop and quickly whipped up a pattern for me. This is what he did.

Now the hinge is the nicest part of the whole fridge!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Way mo Better!!!! 🤩🤙😎🤘
Great Video. That part will last forever. Great work! Love the little pattern. Liked the change up in format. Look forward to the next one.
Excellent video! Loved to have seen the pour! Still, the new format is terrific - moves right along. If I had a mill like that, I would use it, too!
Dave! The fridge has been broken for three weeks now! Weld two pieces of steel together already and file it to shape! Kidding aside, nice work as usual.
Thank you!!!
New part looks better than the original 👍
Exactly what I thought. The new part wouldn't be out of place in a safe!
The endmill needed to turn faster.
I rarely complain about a video, but the music is too loud and in my opinion not necessary. I am constantly adjusting volume down with the music then back up to hear you speak. I really enjoy your content other than this
What does it cost to have the part cast?
Love your channel. Would be happy to listen to machine sounds instead of the corny music you hear all over UA-cam land .
Can’t you just glue the old one together and use that as the pattern?
You could but the metal shrinks when it cools in the mold and you would end up with a slightly smaller part.
Original part was monkey metal
☹🇬🇧
