The only times I’ve really seen this deck lose is when someone builds the deck poorly or misplays. Smart players with adequate healing can navigate that deck to wins against just about anything in both formats. Not to mention it’s a bit of solitaire.
@@aaaa-ni9hc You know the 4 mana 2-6 that makes things you draw cost health? So basically everything they play is free and deals damage to me, and everything I play early on is killed by their cheap, self-damaging or self-healing removal.

I mostly play standard and I see an unhealthy amount of quest mage which I do not like playing against in the slightest, I can beat it most of the time, but I just don't enjoy the games a lot of the time. I agree with roffle, that darkglare is the primary problem, but it is still very strong without it. I play a slower version of this deck with a fatigue game plan, but I hardly even reach fatigue, because I usually win before that or get burst down by aggro.
I have specifically built an aggro deck against quest warlock and still got my ass beaten repeatedly. I seriously don't have an answer against this deck. All aggro minions have low health, warlock can clear them easily for 1 mana while healing at the same time. Can tempo out 8/8s for 0 mana on turn 2 while having excess mana at the end of the turn. Pirate warrior(without quest) can't match it. Kingsbane can't match it, any paladin deck can't match it, it can out aggro the aggro Druid, face hunter can't kill you fast enough and can't clear your board full of 8/8s on turn 2/3. Mage and odd dh are not quick enough to kill it before turn 5. Odd warrior is not good even if it controls the board, quest removes the win condition which is fatique. I'm seriously at a loss.

The important thing is, are you having fun, are you enjoying the game. Yes winning tends to up "enjoyment" for people, but if you like the deck and don't care about climbing or losing then who cares. I was playing a sword of truth hunter deck, won my first game with it, and the dude complained that he lost to me and I wasn't going to get anywhere. Don't care, it was fun, still enjoy playing it.
Man im here just to see cards go wooshh i dont play since 2017 and im still watching heartstone cuz is fun when people have cards lol keep it up! Much love
I feel like in Hearthstone you have to acknowledge that you're either playing a deck to win or playing to have fun, but only sometimes both. Questline warlock is strong but not completely devoid of counters. If you're intent on winning, you can either play another tier 1 deck, the questline itself, or something that counters the questline like face hunter. If you are just in it to have fun, play what you want and acknowledge that other people are playing what they want, too. And if you want to do neither and complain then I'm not sure what you're expecting. It's boring to face the same decks again and again but that's happened in wild for a long time.
I currently I am playing regular DarkGlare Warlock, and have yet to lose to against the questline Version. I also have the quest, however I feel like even if you don't have it the deck is more or less the same. While with quest U have a second win con
This is litterally what i am facing 40-45% of all games (I have made a list for myself). I typically only win if I have lucky draw with mozaki otk. Other than that I lose every single time. Honestly I have never before in my 6 years of hearthstone seen a deck that is so overturned. I hope it gets nerfed, because it is no fun when you almost have to play one particular deck to remain in legend’s top positions.
At this point, I'm utterly convinced self-damage Warlock should never be a thing in Wild. It warps the format every single time it comes up and it's almost never interactive.
darkglare turning self damage into mana cheat is cool conceptually but (1) this makes cards which are balanced around being bundled with a downside simply insanely strong and (2) providing potentially infinite mana to work with is fundamentally uninteractive. the new quest gives the deck a win condition, but it takes a bunch of setup that frequently puts you at a very low life total, so it honestly isn't even that good of a win condition. darkglare is the real problem imo
I still remember Roffle saying that quest would be too slow in DarkGlare for making people lose a mulligan spot, i guess than winning the game instantly wjen completed is worth more than a mulligan card
While I don’t like how oppressive this deck is I do like how a terrible/meme card like UnLicensed Apothecary suddenly became extremely good because of this deck.
people are not mad at others for playing a deck that is really hard to counter in the STANDARD META. they are mad that other decks cannot keep up with the power creep of said deck. I for one have seen decks outside of aggro that absolutely destroy decks, like OTKS, however the difference is that MOST (90%) of OTK needs longer than 5 turns for it to happen. Also in some cases the fatigue version of this deck kind of defeats the purpose of being a card game when you have no cards, but hey we've seen mecha'thun decks
The only 2 cards that can mess with your opponents deck to stop combo are weasel tunneler and the bad luck albatross. Can we have a hearthstone developer show us how to use these 2 cards to stop these warlocks please, i want to see their thought process.
Wild is just wild about which blizzard almost doesn’t care, as illustrated by the grave ruin problem…. I am playing mozaki ignite and doing just fine in my platinum ranks… you win some you lose some
While I think it's stupid, I can understand chat's frustration. The other day I queued into quest warlock, no joke, 7 out of 8 games and just stopped playing for the day as a result
Re: tier 1 vs tier 5 The issue, as I see it, is not necessarily that tier 5 decks should automatically have a 50% winrate against tier 1 decks - that's patently ridiculous. The issue I see is that the matchmaking isn't successfully weeding out the tier 5 players to match against each other, and instead is matching players who exclusively play tier 5 decks against players who flat out suck, but are using tier 1 decks. Acti-Blizzard *have* the patents necessary to do matchmaking based on what deck you're currently playing with (it's a patent on using matchmaking to drive microtransaction sales) and they're not using it to match shitty decks against shitty decks, they're just matching shitty decks against shitty players, hoping it boosts one or the other's MMR to boost their likelyhood to buy more packs.
doing matchmaking based on the decks you're playing would be way harder, way more unintuitive, and open them up to all sorts of criticism. MMR is fair. if you play enough games, your matches will eventually average 50% WR regardless of what decks you or your opponent play. doesn't mean every individual match will be a 50/50, but that wouldn't be the case even if you had a magical matchmaking system that matched tier 5 decks together.
I usually dislike playing the hyper aggressive meta decks, but this quest was the only useful legendary I got day 1, so I gave in and built the deck. From Bronze 10 to Diamond 10 I lost like 3 games in total, 2 against questline Hunter and one against a pirate Warrior. Only from Diamond 10 upwards did I start to fall off. But honestly, I never was Diamond before, just because the grind usually is tedious and I'm not that invested in HS, but this time around, it was a breeze.

Much love
I'm not mad since I'm not playing against it. Thanks for the video.
i have endured wild playing against odd paladins, big priest, cube locks and secret mage but this deck just siphons all fun out the format
Dunno Roffle, my hunter deck destroys this lock deck but its absolutely demolished by warriors :(
The cycle continues!
I currently I am playing regular DarkGlare Warlock, and have yet to lose to against the questline
Version. I also have the quest, however I feel like even if you don't have it the deck is more or less the same. While with quest U have a second win con
yep, both are broken but quest gives you more value for the price of 1mana and a card to might be important in the game
yep quest version feels like a worse version of a deck that was already broken haha
Dont blame him.He must play it to figure out how to counter it :-D
This is litterally what i am facing 40-45% of all games (I have made a list for myself). I typically only win if I have lucky draw with mozaki otk. Other than that I lose every single time.
Honestly I have never before in my 6 years of hearthstone seen a deck that is so overturned. I hope it gets nerfed, because it is no fun when you almost have to play one particular deck to remain in legend’s top positions.
It's going to get nerfed guaranteed. The deck is too fast for Standard even, and that format has a lot less self-damage cards.
Well i have good news for you, seedlock was banned in wild xd
such an awesome deck requiring so much skill and completing quest on turn 3 is cherry on top
ARRR! ANGRY COMMENT!
. . . I loved this video
I still remember Roffle saying that quest would be too slow in DarkGlare for making people lose a mulligan spot, i guess than winning the game instantly wjen completed is worth more than a mulligan card
@@matt_1215 ehhh that's very debatable
@@newyork9923 yep this version is way better i would say

This isn't the normal Darkglare list though. This doubles down on the self-damage to finish the quest quickly.
I am playing mozaki ignite and doing just fine in my platinum ranks… you win some you lose some
*angry youtube comment*
Just Darkglare doing Darkglare things
I ground out the last 20 wins I needed for golden warlock in about an hour last night with this deck. If it means anything, I feel bad for doing it.🤣
lol roffle just spends the whole time making goofy faces and fighting his chat
While I think it's stupid, I can understand chat's frustration. The other day I queued into quest warlock, no joke, 7 out of 8 games and just stopped playing for the day as a result
no bran?
Malygos Druid seems to do well against this deck. Celestial alignment disrupts the combos
well only if you managed to survive until the turn you can play that alignment
@@hunggujh6848 yes but building up armor as a backstop isn’t too hard
Re: tier 1 vs tier 5
The issue, as I see it, is not necessarily that tier 5 decks should automatically have a 50% winrate against tier 1 decks - that's patently ridiculous.
Happened to play token druid and destroyed every time this archetype of deck.
Some players are running Defile which improves the matchup massively for them
Never been here so early. Hope You have a wonderful day Roffle
With Darkglare, you can have as much mana as chat has!
A not angry UA-cam comment about playing this deck
I wanted to have fun and added hakkar
I usually dislike playing the hyper aggressive meta decks, but this quest was the only useful legendary I got day 1, so I gave in and built the deck. From Bronze 10 to Diamond 10 I lost like 3 games in total, 2 against questline Hunter and one against a pirate Warrior. Only from Diamond 10 upwards did I start to fall off. But honestly, I never was Diamond before, just because the grind usually is tedious and I'm not that invested in HS, but this time around, it was a breeze.
Crystaliser seems to be way too strong in this deck. She advances the quest by 5 points with no sacrifice actually made on the player’s part.
I agree absolutely, and after the reward, she is "deal 5 damage to the enemy hero and gain 5 armor."
Sorry about chat this stream roffle you should just play the decks you enjoy playing
If you want to beat darkglare then play one of the decks that roffle says can beat it......then hope your opponent doesnt know how to play darkglare and you should be good to go 😀
way under 50% winrate, twitch chat goes "MOST BROKEN DECK EVER"
Basically lol
Just tell me how to play against
@@luizcesar2990 burst them down, the deck does your job for you and all you need to do is aim face
@@ShallowContrarian that one of reasons why this meta sucks so much
"Dark glare warlock isn't evil!" What a crock.
I watched you play this deck and now I'm homeless and addicted to heroin.
"No morality in a children's card game..." Whatever it takes for you to sleep at night. Me, I need heroin.
SSSSSSSHHHHHHAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMEEEEE!
I like your videos, and watch most of your content. I think you are a good streamer and entertainer, as well as a good player. Sometimes really lucky, but that's just part of the gambles that pays of, which again makes good entertainment. I think this deck is a little to powerfull, and some of the cards in it will probably and hopefully see some nerfs soon. But to say you or anyone else should'nt play it because of that is taking things a bit to far imo.
Mana refresh is OP
Yes, in a class that wasn't designed for mana refresh.
Welp, i time to craft DarkGlare + Flesh Giant
He turned to the Darkglare side...
people should play whatever the hell deck they want, good or bad
Dang quest complete before turn 5

NGL watching you eviscerate twitch chat in that last game was so satisfying. It deserved an NSFW tag.
There's a specific word to describe people who vicariously get satisfaction from watching a person dominate others. You earned it.

Man, glad I don't play hearthstone right now. Everyone in standard and wild discussions is so unreasonably mad about this. Daz rough.
Meh, aggro priest in standard beats that modes version. It's not as powerful as you think.
@@jensenchavez265 fair, can only speak to people being mad not the actual strength. Either way though I hope I'll pass soon, it seems like a deck that's strong in theory but just gets crushed by agro, idk though.
15:13, playing the Crystalizer would have finished the quest and the Imp would have given you 3 dmg for the next progress. The way you played it, you "lost" 4 dmg on the Crystalizer because they got wasted.
Kinda funny how apothecary is now a good card
I think the quest lines need to be removed from wild.
You are the voodoo doll

Even throw in a Greta “How dare you!” 😂👍
they need to just ban darkglare already
Armor just shouldn't count for the quest
