All the pointer sisters were the Queens of scattimg in the 70's and remained on cue and on their note! They definitely made the mark in music history 👏🏽🙌🏽🤎🖤🎼🎤RIP June and Bonnie 🥀💔🥀💔
In El Paso, Texas it was at "The Place" or "Foxy's" until 2 a.m. when the clubs closed then crossing the border to Juarez and on to the Juarez Avenue strip and the numerous clubs with the best being "Cosmos" discotheque until the sun came up as there was no curfew over there. This was way before the Cartels and rampant corruption took over. Nothing ever dies until you don't remember them anymore. This was the Golden Era of Disco/Dance Music!
Oh my, the memories of youth: the freedom, the uncertainty, curiosity, peers, good grades/ bad grades. But the music of that short time will always resonate in my mind!
Wow playing all this old music has taken me back to some of the most amazing times of my life 54-Bonds - Red Parrot - Lime Light Palladium - Roseland - The Saint etc etc !!!!!!!!!!
i love this song especially when she does her growling this song makes me so happy thank you bonnie pointer i love you and your sisters especially the 70s stuff you all were so fab in your vintage clothing just so stylish and beautiful!!!!!!!! yvonne cortez forever a fan
My brother SPACEY T!!! Is playing Lead Guitar in this song. I loved it the first time i heard it and still do. Too bad he's never gotten the recognition he deserves. He's the best guitar player on both coasts.....HA! thats what u get when ur a black man on the heavy metal scene. You either gotta sell ur soul or give up ur dreams. Keep you dreams alive and well big brother cause ur ship will come in!!!! I love you SPACEY T.....
I could say this was my first english song I tried to translate to spanish when I was 11 in Irapuato , Guanajuato, Miguel Hidalgo Elementary School, I was in fifth grade and in love of Gaby.Very nice memories....
I'm not one for sappy love songs....but this is one of my all time favorites! It is so beautiful to feel that way about another person. When I first heard it as a young boy, I knew I wanted to feel that.I now can luckily relate to every word of the song. It gets me choked up every time I hear it and how much I'm in love and loved back.
Wow, it took me awhile to track down this title again!! Just watched "54" about Steve Rubell and his NYC club and this was in the soundtrack. Loved it when it came out and they played it in all the discos in the late 70s and early 80s. What a classic - thanks for uploading :)))

Great artist anyone wanting to buy this track on this 1979 best of album pictured here it won’t be on this album original amazing version is on Bonnies 1978 album how ever this is a great album of Bonnie’s to purchase with 6 great tracks & grab the 12” disco single to hear the version that’s being played now , didn’t want anyone to miss out , we will miss you Bonnie ...
Never really cared for disco, but this one was bad. It's one of the all-time perfect songs. The drummer was fantastic, the bells were unique, and of course Bonnie was great. Someone , I believe it was either Berry Gordy or Smokey, said in an interview that this was like every Motown song rolled into one.
@AndyG13GLA Some peeps need stuff acted out with Crayolas and a sock puppet. Ok I'm probably gonna go to Hell for that but we just got our power back due to Irene and some residual irritation simply seeped out of my pores. It's not my fault;). I FREAKIN' LOVE THIS SONG!! I'm 48 this past 8/8 and songs like this made it worth the constant teasing, for liking disco, I put up with as a kid........GO BONNIE!!
Buenas tardes , visioneros por siempre Bonnie pointer y tenemos a una persona que destaco Eugene Mallove Scientist Publisher saludoscielo20200 11 de mayo del año 2016
1980 Empire Ballroom, Leicester Square, London. Roller Disco. 500-1000 young people turning up with their roller boots. One pair of girls 14-16 years old with STRING VESTS (no bras) and painfully-tight, gold hot pants, like Kylie or The Cheeky Girls. I was handing out hire roller boots, and these two girls insisted on putting them on at my low level counter while bending over in front of my face and putting their feet up on the counter. I could have been arrested for just what I was thinking!
Way too long an extended intro. Sorry but hate unnatural harsh edits and repetition. Boston’s KISS 108 then “New England’s Disco station”. Did the two vinyl overlay of the scat ending. Man I miss 1979.
She ruled the Mexican Radio with this Super Hit. RIP indeep!!

Loved the original, but after hearing this version it's hard to listen to the old one. Please let me know how I can get this one.
The bells and scat at 8:05 just kill me, I can hear that part over and over.
