PINNACLE MOUNTAIN 2023 - Face to Face with a Black Bear!

We have always known that black bear roam the hills and mountains of the Carolinas, but have never seen one in the wild - until now. On top of this amazing sighting, the trip included a journey to the top of Pinnacle Mountain from the east along the Ridge Trail with a "Summits On The Air" activation attempt. All of this was followed by the incredible view from Bald Knob as the team descended Pinnacle Mountain along the traditional route. It was an incredible day that we will not soon forget.
