I had to pay to go into Dunvegan - I thought that was no good for clansmen, so I think you shouldn't pay either for yours, aye Eilean Donan the seat of the McKenzie's - I think I had an aunt who's family was McKenzie from Perth she was. Good wee video.
Despite what many believe, it is is not a historic castle, it is a twentieth century castle, built between 1919 and 1932, by Lt. Col. John MacRae-Gilstrap. The construction included the building of an arched bridge to give easier access to the island.
