I really enjoyed the quick fire questions. Sometimes an answer is best to be short and sweet.
BTW, thank you for keeping your children out of your videos. It's hard enough growing up in a media focused world while also trying to find your way as a teenager.

I appreciate them, also! A child who doesn't want to be in videos, should just be respected! Parents who make good decisions, for the benefit of their children, should be a role model for all!

You are experiencing the weather we had here in Oklahoma. The day Russia invaded Ukraine that evening around 11pm our electric went off like someone flipped a switch. Which kind of shocked me due to the bad weather had already came through. I was like oh boy here we go, EMP was my first thought! Then after I felt my way through to light an oil lamp, just as I got it lit and set down the electric came back on. Whew…strange the things that go through your mind now days with the times we are living in. I enjoyed your 25 questions and yes would like to have more of them.

Sheila, I've keep EMP in mind especially now. I keep a small flashlight in several rooms just for that reason. They'll be useless in case of an EMP but for normal blackouts they will keep me from breaking a leg or worse in the dark. Mike

About 25 years ago when we lived on Long Island - I was at work and there were big windows - we all saw a flash and everyone turned to the supervisor - her reply was it was snowing like crazy and it doesn't lightening during a snow storm - a few minutes later there was a big clap of thunder - so it can thunder & lightening during a snow storm - the one and only time I ever witnessed it.

Thundering and snowing at the same time is called Thunder snow, thundering and sleeting at the same time is called thunder sleet. This is what our meteorologist call it.

Our ground is also rock with some soil on the side! I tried to plant a one quart plant a few years ago and finally got my husband because I couldn't get the "rock" out. By the time he finished half the bed was dug, had several large boulders, multiple rocks and built a stone wall with them! Driving stakes or fence posts can be ten minutes or ten days, you just never know.

Hi Sarah. You might want to grow Lovage instead of Celery. It's an herb that tastes like celery. I dry the leaves and crush them similar to parsley. It's in the celery family, but has a round stalk. Mine used to get as tall as me; 6' tall in Western NY. Here in TN it grows about 3'. Good luck and enjoy.

May I suggest an idea I noticed when you use your post driver you lift it up high to put it on the post as Sarah holds the post plumb and vertical. Perhaps if you left the driver on the ground put the post into the driver "cup" then raised the post it may be easier. Just a thought and suggestion. Be well, blessings.

The sound quality is really excellent, the microphones do a fantastic job, as do you both. I'm in ireland, and I'm fascinated to watch your posts every week. You guys take care over there, I often remember Sarah stating that she felt the need to grow extra tomatoes one year, she didn't know why, but she was going with her gut - next thing that happened was covid and you guys over there had serious shortages in the stores. We didn't really have many shortages, just flour in the first couple of months, but it levelled out fairly well and fairly quickly. I always remember Sarah and her gut feeling though. I always listen to those gut feelings too - and I'm proved right more than wrong. God bless and thank you for a very welcome distraction over many miserable covid days, you were both an upbeat interlude on many a downbeat day. I've laughed with you, cried with you and thoroughly enjoyed the ducks giving out when ye let them out in the morning, talk about scolds, the lot of them 😂

So glad I saw this as you all answered some of the questions I was wondering about. I saw an episode done by Cogg Hill Farm that showed how to use the bucket of a tractor to drive posts in the ground. He cut a metal pipe 3' shorter than the post and put it on the post. This kept the post from bending as they pushed it down with the bucket. They would stop pushing when they got to the top of the pipe. This also made sure the posts were all the same height. Hope that made sense. (Loved your shirt today, Sara!)

A couple thoughts came to me while listening to your Q&A's this morning. The comment about your fertilizer bill made me think about Joel Salatins methods of doing the chicken tractors & rotational natural fertilizing. It might help? Also, I sympathize with the lifting of the post pounder. I use the non motorized kind that slips over the end and it's even heavy. I just make sure the end is where I want it, lean it about 45 deg. and then slip it on as I push the post up straight. It's only half the lifting distance. Keep up the good work!

Nice to get to know you a bit better and the short questions was kind of cool. I guess in today's world it is good to know we have the Lord that will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory if we learn to have faith and trust Him..God bless.

Good morning. When I lived in IN I remember at least 2-3 thunder snow storms... yeah, it was weird. I enjoyed the Q&A.

I always learn something new from you two, and with everything going on in the world, it is always such a solace to check in with what you two are up to and see Sarah‘s gorgeous dimples smiling at me constantly. I don’t know how you stay so upbeat but I am grateful to the both of you for putting out the content that you do, thank you. God bless and stay safe!♥️🙏

I did enjoy this quick Q&A. I’m a city girl, not a homesteader, so I don’t need in depth explanations - just answers to things that make me go..hhmmm. 🤔. Thanks for that. ❤️

I loved this video Sarah and Kevin! You're so enthusiastic and happy all the time and just a wealth of information. My husband and I are starting a homestead and I can say, we couldn't be doing it any better as amateurs without your channel! Robin and Charlie in East Tennessee thanks you so much! Ps. Can you give a link for your microphones in the Amazon store? I couldn't find them if it was there.

Good Video ! Bless you for protecting your daughters. I know they are lovely cause I can see their parents. We raised four beautiful daughters....must take after their Mother. I used to joke with people that I lived with five women. Prayers to your family.

Fun video. We are also experiencing the crazy Missouri weather. Always say if you don't like the weather here, just wait a day and it will be completely different. 😃
