Aful do looked after more price range customers p5,p8 then now a lower price MagicOne , Dave is one of the most friendly iem/headphone reviewer you deserve 5 stars rating reviews, the most comfortable video channel to watch with most diversity iem that we have learned from you , like you a lot.Thank you for the most honest reviews 💖👍.
Aful is a company that's here to make a difference not just another company to make money from IEMs, but rather improve things. Thanks Dave for the review.
i love how you have a stepped back approach and really explaining clearly pros and cons not just Teck savvy. im coming from the sound core liberty 3 pros and loveeeee the mid and highs. but do experience fatigue. and i do find the bass to be a little too separated and punchy. im also very into kind of mid bass slow techno music that tends to be a little warm. im not a pro by any means but after looking at graphs and everything i truly believe these will be perfect. as long as it has ok bass id be very satisfied.
I really like your overall presentation including your very clear pronunciation of every word. Very good review.. always watch your videos b4 getting a set. I am planning to get the magic.. Question.. I like bass.. but am not a basshead.. I like my bass slightly punchy.. Am just worried that the base lacks the punch. Will it be enough?? Thx a million 😊
i didn’t know you were a drummer. what iems do you typically use on stage? i’m not sure how many other iem reviewers are stage musicians, so i think that being able to bring that perspective and experience is probably an important differentiating factor between you and other reviewers.
I agree that it would be very nice to hear what Dave likes when he is performing on stage. This makes me think about the High-Ear C which I purchased and recently received. This IEM definitely has accentuated bass and lower midrange, yet still has very surprisingly detailed upper midrange and treble. I did not purchase this IEM for generally listening to music. Instead, I purchased this IEM specifically for EDM and similar genres for a strong "at the event" experience, and for watching more cheaply produced movies and stuff on Netflix and other streaming channels where the the lower midrange and the bass is noticeably lacking. It would be interesting if Dave would review the High-Ear C from a musician's standpoint (drummer or bass guitarist) as a on-stage monitor IEM since there are frequent questions on other sites about what would be good on-stage IEMs for drummers and guitarists.
Hi Dave. What genres do you think that the MagicOne is best suited for? It clearly is not for EDM or rock music in which one would want stronger and more defined bass. I am thinking more along the lines of classical and orchestral music, jazz, bossa nova, country, and similar slower genres. I am also thinking in terms of the mood and desires of the listener. For example, I don't want any IEM to sound too intense or too detailed when I listen to music when I am really tired since I instead prefer a more soothing sound signature since my goal is to be able to relax when I am tired. Yet I still do want to hear clean details in the upper midrange and the treble. Do you have any thoughts along these lines? BTW, your answers to my questions about the Performer 5 were very on point. The P5 easily is my favorite IEM in its price category.
Agree completely on the genres. Although it wasn't too bad with classic rock with the small amount of mid bass. There's definitely better out there at this price point. I'm the same way when it comes choosing a more relaxed signature when I'm tired or just not in the mood for something too aggressive. I don't know that I would consider the Magic One aggressive, but its probably not something I would choose. I usually gravitate to the Studio 4 Performer 5, or Performer 8 for iems under $500. Thanks for watching by the way! Sorry I don't answer every comment. I really do appreciate your thoughts on this stuff. Always well thought through and consise. Thanks for being a part of the community!
Dumb question from a TWS user immediate IEM buyer. When you give your impression of sound is this a flat no eq sound? Can you not eq the sound to you liking??? I just never hear anyone talking about seeing an eq after our during play of music.. i plan on using my S24 ultra to feed music. I know i need A USB dac connector. But i am inundated with tech jargon, so much so as i am unsure where to go. I am leaning to AFUL 5 preformer. Im a metal guy and i want stay around 3 to 350 on my first buy...can you a guy here. Thanks. Have spent all Christmas eatching your vids. Thank happy holidays
A reminder that etymotics also have one BA, sure the ER2s are under 100 but let's not forget the ER4s have been around for quite a while now and still cost about the same as they did years ago.
You know what is my biggest frustration, when people like you and me , that genuinely speak their mind about a product with no monetary interest, we are labelled as shills....we getting paid off ....it's just ridiculous that all these experts speak and criticise, but are unable of actually doing better or worse even they make the most absurd comparison....."ohh the Magic one does not have the resolution of a Monarch or a Meat" ....are these geniuses for real.....as I said in my review....give me a single BA that out performs these puppies .... Just one single BA. Anyway love your review as I usually do!
I dont think people are arguing that this is a great one BA implementation, the problem is them charging 130 dollars for a single BA. No matter how much RnD money the spent on this, 130 for a single BA is absurd.
@@TPMaster1 i understand your point of view but it's not entirely solid. Take the Etymotic ER4SR...269usd, crazy money for a single BA iem that maybe only 2% of people will endure its fit....and then....only under those almost inhumane conditions will you hear Its magic. On the other hand what justifies a Softears Turii 1399usd price or worse even the Turii Ti at 2499. Even a Softears Twilight at 900 USD is unjustified. In reality a single DD that surpasses 300....350 starts having major diminishing returns. I see the value of the Magic One as equivalent to paying 250 to 300 for a single DD. Will it be able to outperform said single DD..... probably not, but it's like comparing ,and I'll make a car analogy, a 1987 Toyota AE86 with a 1987 BMW M3 Evo.
The Artpical Michael. There isn't much information available online, but I'm working with a dealer trying to gather some information. Hopefully, I'll have a full review up soon. Thanks for watching!
I will never understand why proplr tine the 300 to 500 hz on a flat line when the voices graph in shout the pinna gain its at 1kz and loud its at 500hz. Renicing this frequency is like having a tune that it's unnatural. Giz audio keeps saying that all iems with mid bass are not natural and his tuning is perfect. Only if the he listen at 50db low volume for that frequency of flat mid bass and upper mids high to sound natural. Makes non sense what he says. Coming from a ex music producer .
Aful definitely knows what they are doing great review as usual 👌
Thanks for watching!

“At this price point” LoL
Great video, I get mine today!
Sorry for the repetition, lol. Thanks for checking out the video!
It reminds me of my old Klipsch single BA earphones. That was over 10 years ago
Are you planning on doing a review of the Aune Yuki? I love your videos! Keep it up.
Hey! Yes, but the review will be on the Gizaudio channel. Thanks for checking out the review!
Does FiiO KA13 can give full power to the Magicone and Explorer? Please do help.
Dave, what was the previous music you used under the "Sound" sequence?

Thank you for the good review ❤ What is the iem in the middle?
Don't tell anyone😂, but it's the new beta SeeAudio Flagship. I don't think it's been released yet. Thanks for watching!
No bass on Galileo. It sounds weird overall. For me i need to reduce the 3k "ear gain" by 7db to make it sound someone ok.
So is galileo stil better overall than the Aful Magic One? Thanks
What is that purple amp? (Edit: found it's a hibi r6 pro 2) And, would you mind listing the cables you are using? They are beautiful
$139 with having only one BA is tough to swallow
Why…? DD and Planars exist in this price range, judge the IEM on its performance. I recently got this set. I speak from experience.
Placebo is one hell of a drug@@fiddlix
