This may be an inaugural flight, and it certainly is an interesting inaugural flight being 2.5 hours on a turboprop. But…. The flight has already been suspended by Silver, so it’s not even in operation anymore. So enjoy an inaugural flight, that doesn’t exist anymore.
Why did silver suspend this flight?
@@bforkner01 I assume poor load factors from what I heard from others. Even the inaugural flight only had like 20 people on it.
That makes sense
Bru imagine only 20 people showing up sa
Sad*
American Eagle used to fly ATRs between BOS and JFK back in the early 2000s. They didn't fly very high, either, so you'd get really nice views in summer. Really nice staff, too.
That would've been a fun flight to take. Back before American moved all their ATR's south after the icing crash near Chicago.
Fabulous work man 👍
Thanks my friend!
Awesome videos! Love your work❤❤. Hi from India!
Bonsieur Monsieur is another spectacular beautiful great camera work and beautiful sharing .. Merci beaucoup Monsieur
Thanks my friend!
Cool! First ATR flight for 2024.
And more coming, because I still have more Silver ATR-72 flights to post haha.
Nice ATR flight! Flew only once with ATR. Nice French Aircraft.
1 thing I enjoy about this aircraft is how you are able to see the landing gear ⚙️ 🛞 it’s just that today you were sitting somewhere away from it but nice vid man
0:19 Jeb Brooks absolutely thrilled at the prospect of any flights being added to his home airport.
Haha he looks so happy
I've had the pleasure of sharing a few flights with Jeb over the years. He's a great guy and I love his videos. Anyone reading this who hasn't subscribed to him should do so, as he creates amazing travel content!
I just learned recently how these prop can create reverse thrust. It's genius.
The angle of the blade isn't fixed, Pilot can twist them around to change the angle. From flat angle to create disk-like shape to increase drag. Or, in reverse blade angle, which is for reverse thrust. According the Dash 8 Pilot, they usually just use the disk. Rarely need for the reverse, cuz these plane brakes are super strong.
Yup, it's super cool how variable prop propellers work. Thanks for watching my friend!
I see Jeb Brooks from Greener Grass videos at 0:20 being interviewed by the TV team. When I watched his video, I wondered if you were there. LOL. Now I'll have to go back and see if he caught you. Nice video.
I definitely was there. I haven't watched his video since it came out, but if I remember correctly, I think the extent of what you can see of is the back of my head haha.
I ❤ the ATR-72!
i ❤ inaugural flights
Did you know that the hotel at MCO has a rooftop pool that allow you to watch planes in/out view. One day, I'm going to get a night there and watch planes all day. Also, it has view on certain floor with glass that has several lazyboy chairs to sit in and watch from the inside.
I did know that. I've actually stayed there once, but it was during Covid and the pool was closed... So, I've never been able to use it.
There's one good thing about turboprops, you know right away when they stop working...🤪
Great fly! Is ATR aircraft made by Airbus?
Not really. Airbus is a 50% owner of the company, but they don't make any of the planes.
👍
