I wonder is it possible to have you current speed displayed in the information screen.would be good if you could as the Speedo can be difficult to see.
Interesting, can the Motoscan app balance the throttle bodies on the S1000XR, interested in getting and would love to see you do all the different tests on an XR as not this type of equipment before and want to purchase it after seeing you use it and saying how good it is, thanks.

I just received the obd2 Bluetooth reader and connector for my birthday and downloaded the app and have been following your tutorials .can you tell me if it is possible to regulate the fuel gauge on a 2011 gsa there seems to be a function for it but does the fuel gauge need to be taken out of the tank .

Hello Old Mechanic. I'm enjoying learning the Motoscan App thanks to your videos. I have a question, you use the UniCar Scan module, which I have ordered. I've noticed other folks are using the OBD Link LX. Do you know if one is any better than the other?
unicar scan is perfectly fine. Mostly Link LX is quite a lot more expensive.
Furthermore, I think it's the same guy (obviously he doesn't build the module itself) for the App and the module so they're always 100% compatible ;)
Is it possible to retrofit an RDU - TPMS to a bike without? Say an F800. So fit a used RDU, wheel sensors then re-code to Active via motoscan?
Does the gsa 2018 have this option ?

Hey boss man, 2012 R1200 GSA, the shop man says mine doesn't have the wheel sensors, or might not have the software for this feature. Is that what the moto scan do? Program the bikes software? Parts guy says there a 4 options for my bike, but if the bike isn't programed it won't work. Your thoughts?

Hi Peter, that temp sensor is already in these tps sensors, you just have to unlock that with the motoscan app 😉

Interesting, but how does it take a temperature reading? Does it use a sensor and since air is a very slow way of transmitting anything, temperature indications will lag. Also if it was 12.5°C in the garage, why were the tire temperatures reading only 9°C?

Nee hoor je kunt hem gewoon coderen. Ik heb ze geactiveerd zodat je het kunt zien op de video 😉

I can't find this setting on my 2011 R1200R. It should be possible since I have tire pressure info.
Interestingly the tyres are colder than the bike's indicated temperature by a "massive" 3.5 degrees C. At least I was paying attention.

I'm a bit confused. Did it already have tire pressre monitor installed? Just not the temperature? I just bought a 2013 gs and I'm just getting familiar with all of the gizmos.
Hi Ed, My bike had already the tire pressure monitor.
But I could only see the pressure in the tires, and with the Motoscan app its possible to unlock an extra 'menu' (just 1 click more on the info button) and then you can also see the temperature in the tires too. I hope this explanation helps you a bit mate. Greets from The Old Mechanic
Yes,that's what I was thinking. I don't have the scan tool, but a friend has GS911, maybe can do the same?

Er is nog een verborgen functie dat je kan coderen naast de banden temperatuur. Je kan ook nog de standen van de handvatverwarming op het display laten verschijnen. Is wel niet met elke k25 mogelijk. Uit mijn hoofd vanaf bouwjaar 2010

Boss, I need help. My R1200Gs (2011model) speedometer shows a warning sign(Red) same as yours. What is the meaning of the warning sign in red?? I'm new to this bike.

No the chinees obd2 doesn't work
To activate the tpms wheel sensors, as they usually only turn on when moving. There's an Aussie with & GS who had 100% success with the Chinese tool, showing a DIY lithium battery change.

I have this and it works well on my 2016 R1200GSA. I point the device towards the air pressure valve and pressing it against the tire. Both front and rear will display.
