My 2023 JCW MINI Countryman is so much more better than the R Series that my grandmother had before, she absolutely hated the R series but the F series she has 1.5L 2021 Countryman an shes absolutely enjoying the car with less problems to deal with.
That’s really good to hear! I will have to let my parents know, trying to get them into a new mini! I know my F series f56 and f55 have been amazing! So much easier to work on too.
We've had two R60 S All4 MINIs both have been great - not an issue with either - our first was a 2015 which we bought with 30,000 miles on the ODO and drove it for another 15k miles before selling it back to the dealer where we bought it from. We sold that because the prices of used cars were so high we made money on it's sale. Earlier this year we bought a 2013 (even the same color but with fewer options) that only had 20,000 miles on the clock and it was in like-new condition - I was able to find out where it was serviced and talk to the mechanic that worked on it (an independent shop that works on mainly German cars) he told me that everything that was in the owner's manual under maintenance was done at or before it was required - even things like brake fluid changes. Every once in a while you run into a "Unicorn" - we've been lucky enough to have bought two. My wife really does not like the F chassis Countryman but knows eventually she'll have to give in. My 'evil plan' is for her to drive a demo one next time we are at the dealer getting work done on the R60 - getting her to switch is a difficult task - she'd still be on an original iPhone if the mobile carrier still supported it ;-)
Thanks for watching! It seems you have had some good luck or have done a lot of maintenance, or both. 😆 Although I have owned 2 r series and both were really good. Every R60 I have run across seems to have a lot of issues. Definitely convince her on the f series though 😋 They are bullet proof!!! Passed 200,000 on a few of them and no issues!!
Have a 15’ R60 S (non 4WD) enjoy the heck out of it. Got a whole list of mods done to it, would def enjoy seeing you potentially do maintenance work on this car? Much love bro
I had a cheap 2014 r60, it was so much fun! My first test video on this channel was of that car just before I sold it! I may do some videos on maintenance on this car I reviewed here but not sure my parents plans with it as of yet. Thanks so much for watching!
I'd like to see that too - although it's popular on UA-cam a center display upgrade, fog light swap, and some coding would be great (though I'm being a bit selfish as these are things I'd like to do to our R60 S All4)
Man I love my 2012 R60... But it has definitely run into it's fair share of issues such as a piston exploding, leaking oil from the main seal, coolant leaking, plus other small things... Luckily I know a good mechanic so I've been able to get it fixed at a much better price If all goes well I plan to get a 2nd car as my daily and turn my R60 into a full on off-roader
Yeah, I loved mine too and personally ally didn’t have a ton of issues like my parents had. That would be cool! A m7speed lift, big tires, and stuff would look epic!
