  • Reusing what is already here and available, downed branches, and turning them into something useful and beneficial: fertilizer! I love how all the elements work together in this complete ecosystem: Earth, Wood, Water, Air, Ore/Minerals, and Fire!

Translation: “The way you prepare the soil for planting is very good. I hope you will soon have a garden full of green vegetables.” Thank you so much! It is always so exciting to watch the garden grow ❤️👩‍🌾✨

Please understand that I am in no way attempting to insult or judge you. But I have to ask, with your obvious connection to all things good healthy, and natural, I was surprised to see you using two bags of “miracle grow“ in your garden - can you offer some insight on why you feel this is a good thing?

Thank you for watching and inquiring! I am a 1 woman show here and only installed this garden and built these beds last year. As you can see they are empty and need to be filled. Last year I had delivered 6 cubic yards of compost that I hauled and shoveled myself. I have been making compost but it’s not yet enough. I have been digging like crazy this past month, planted 2 blueberry, 1 peach, 1 cherry, transplanted an apple, potted 3 new elderberry until I decide where to plant them, and I have 3 rose bushes waiting to go in, and I dug and created a new flower garden bed in front of my house. I installed by myself 100 foot of 6 foot fencing using 8 foot t posts, pounded in almost 2 feet and installed a privacy screen(project is almost done). I’ve treated for voles and groundhogs, installed rabbit fencing around the larger garden and still need to complete around the smaller garden, I’ve put down cardboard and garden cloth and halfway done with mulch around the smaller garden, whew! I just needed to add some more soil to all of my beds, plus compost which I have, but I couldn’t justify another truck delivery for hundreds of dollars. Please forgive me for taking a shortcut, but I am working TOWARDS a goal of self sufficiency. It just takes some time. Plus this guy says it’s ok 👍

Oops, I think this is the video I may have been thinking of. Either way. I like both of these gardeners.
