Brewster Baker started right behind Petty. That car doesn’t show up in the results, so must be they just ran pace laps or a few green flag laps for filming and then pulled off. Watching it again, you see the 49 pull off pit road behind Petty, but as they go to green it’s not there anymore. So yeah, they must’ve just ran it under the pace laps.

180 degree headers, meaning the headers wrapped around the bottom of the engine in order to equalize exhaust pressure.
