Could you make a video on how you setup flyskyhy? I really like the app but I don't find it at all user friendly and I have no idea how you configured it to change screens automatically.
Thank you, this video helped me solidify buying an XC Tracer! Just had my first flight with it at Horseshoe Bend Flight Park on Saturday....made a huge difference! I have been looking for a US Dealer for about a year. Superfly (Chris Santacroce) just started selling them! Thanks for all the advise!
Ari, I thought that I should mention that there is no real need to lock your screen before you fly with Flyskyhy. All you have to do is hit the start button. It will not start recording your flight until you are off the ground. I use mine in landscape mode and this keeps it from kicking sideways, which it did on a regular basis before I learned that trick. Enjoyed your vid dude. It is always good to see other setups. Your demo gave me couple of ideas but I will never hook up a speaker to my flight deck. I enjoy the quiet of the sky too much!
Great video Ari, I also have a chargepack that sits in a pouch below my cockpit but getting to the button to initiate charging is a pain in the butt so I usually just hit the button prior to launch if I think I will be flying for a long time.
Thanks for the video. Do you connect XC Tracker to the phone so you can get the gps data on your phone when there is no data service/have more accurate data (I assume that xc tracker process your coordinates better than the phone)?
Hi Ari, yet one more very good video from you. My fly deck has similar functional elements (without Spot and music). But what additionally have is a small classical compass, which works without batteries and GPS... this is redundancy for cloud suck situation. On a tablet (not a phone) I use Flyme, which is for me complete peace of software I need for flying (and it is free). That is my set up.
Hi I know it and old video but would you please have the brand names or something of that description please of a list off the Products that you are speaking about as that’s why I am here to find out as much information as possible thanks 🙏
Thanks for the Vids. Can you make a vid on pod harnesses? how to progress from a regular harness to a pod. What would be a good first pod? how much experience does one need before getting a pod. Thanks a bunch.
how do you attach everything to the flight deck to make sure it doesnt fall off if it gets a bit lively? I have to carry an Airband radio too in my area (Paramotor) Cheers
@@air-jerome I can hard mount the compass, velcro the XC Tracer and 6051. But my IPhone XR must do double duty as my daily driver. So Velcro does not work. Does anyone have a mount that will the IPhone to slide into jean pockets without doing damage? Thanks!

I can’t put my radio on my flight deck, it gets interference from the instruments, is loud the whole flight static is way more annoying than vario, but I actually like the sound of the vario, as long as it’s beeping 🤣
Hey Ari. Great video. I currently fly with a Flymaster NavSD and have been trying to find a new setup, as I'm still not quite content with my deck and instrument choice as of yet. I've been using FSH for a very short time now and while the iPhone is a nice platform, one thing I don't like is how sometimes phones are known to glitch and freeze up or shut off and everything closes out. It's happened a few times to me. Do you get that with your phone at all? Also, how do you mount your radio for your flights? Currently mine is on my deck, which limits space for instruments somewhat, but always open to suggestions. Thanks! :)
Hey Jeff, thanks for writing. For my phone, I do a few things. I typically will close most of my apps or reset the phone before flight. I also lock it into portrait orientation. It has never frozen on me, but my friend Marcos flys with two phones and two xc tracers for redundancy in comps, but he's incredibly young and industrious, so he can afford it. I use velcro to attach the radio to the deck, but I'm getting a handheld mic to be able to keep the radio in the pocket and the mic in easier access location.
A 10,000mah power bank does not have enough juice to charge your phone 10 times. And if you brought a no name brand, it'll have less juice than advertised (check reviews). My phone has a 7,000mah battery, i'd bet a glider your power bank couldn't charge my phone once.
Would love a list with the names of everything in the description.
bro you gotta put up some amazon links for these!

this video is now 4 years old. is it still your preferred setup?
100% agree. FlySkyHy and XCTracer is the winning combination. Music while flying however... cannot do it!

How do you attach the insturments / phone to that flight deck 'plate'?

Is there an app with moving VFR maps and altitude, ground speed and climb rate for a android without the use of a XC sky?

Happy to. Whatcha thinkin? Helmet, shoes, apparel, shades? that kinda thing?
Great show! How smoothly runs skyflyhigh and what’s with the visibility?
loved this. thanks.
You are so welcome!
Decent video mate, it's helpful!
Definitely works and good setup but not reliable in a long term (for competition).
How did you fix all that things? That would be helpfull for me.
Just velcro dude 👍🏼

Awesome Info Ari. I'd love to find a power bank that the solar panel actually charges!
I really like the wind direction feature on Flysky
Yeah man, I think GoalZero makes those!
How do you have the parameters set up on your vario? Ie: averager interval, min sink alarm, min lift alert, etc.
Scott, I'm gonna copy and paste my settings here! Gimme a sec
Annnnd dennnn
damn, this sec takes a long time
Soundcloud link doesn't work anymore.
Fixed, thanks!

What would be the best alternative to flyskyhi on android?

Arri, question. If you are blue toothed to your speaker from the iPhone, how are you blu toothed to your xc tracker at the same time?
Bluetooth can support multiple connections simultaneously!
