Tim Walz says he 'got his dates wrong' about being in Hong Kong during Tiananmen Square massacre

- Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz tried again Wednesday to explain his repeated false statement that he was in China during the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989 - telling reporters in Pennsylvania that he “got his dates wrong” and suggesting he makes verbal mistakes “like everybody else.”
Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, was questioned during Tuesday night’s debate over a report that indicated that he was not in Hong Kong like he repeatedly previously claimed - but was actually back home in Nebraska.
“Look, I have my dates wrong. I was in Hong Kong and China in 1989,” Walz said Wednesday.
“You’ve seen me. These teachers see me. I speak like everybody else speaks,” he added.
“I need to be clearer. I will tell you that.”

What didn’t he get wrong?, this guy is a liability to the United States.
JB all over again. First Tim Walz said he gets caught up in the moment and says things that are not true. Now he has a memory problem and confused the dates.
Getting the date wrong or not that was a huge moment in history even if you got the date wrong you would know if you were there or not.
If your teaching You need to know your facts . Dumb dumb
Seems like a pretty clear event that one would know if in attendance regardless of date. Why say you were there when your weren't.

That's NOT "getting a date wrong", that's getting major events wrong and were you were in relation to it. How is it possible that you didn't know if you were there or not for that?

A co-worker of mine went from "I lived in San Francisco and hated it" to "I stayed on a friend's couch in San Jose for 2 weeks and never visited San Francisco" after like 4-5 questions, sounded just like this guy. If you keep going you can eventually baseline them and fully undo the lie. Sadly, there are far better liars out there that this doesn't work on
