Those Dry Erase boards are THE BEST! I got one for my parents when I was quarantined with them (my mom thought I was being ridiculous) but now they use it for all shopping! They were previously using old scraps of paper/ post it notes which was a bit of a waste. Plus I have a habit of writing some super bad "dad" jokes on theirs whenever I come to visit which I know will make my mom do a massive eye roll :)
They seriously are the best! I love when my kids draw pictures on them too :) I have some lower down on the freezer in the laundry room for them to play with :)

Chana, we love cherries and watermelon in the summer. Unfortunately, cherry season isn’t very long. I also love grocery pickup. It saves me so much money-nothing extra ends up jumping in the cart! 😂 The paper plates were so cute! Here’s a tip for the milk-you can freeze milk-not sure about soy milk, but cow’s milk can definitely be frozen. I buy it when it is on sale and freeze it. Milk has gotten so expensive. Speaking of grocery pickup, I am headed out to get our order in just a few minutes. (Actually 2 orders-had to place a second small one because as I was going over the confirmed order I realized that I forgot a few items on the big order.Ugh!) I eat one by myself every week 🍉 I have a love/hate with grocery pickup too... the crucial ingredient is out of stock... then you get other ingredients you wouldn't have purchased otherwise. At least it gas helped me get creative with what I do get! Lol. I love watching your videos!
I usually don’t say this because my feelings have been hurt in the past but I love frozen watermelon in the summer in fact I love all melons also peaches and grapes I hope you have a happy holiday and much rest❤️
I grew up in the country in Southern California in the 50's & 60's. There were a lot of road side fruit stands back then and all of the fruit was so fresh and delicious. Nothing tastes the same anymore from strawberries to apricots (which frankly smell fabulous but taste like cardboard). My absolute favorite as a kid was watermelon!!! Not summer until I've had at least 4 watermelons! But now it's nectarines!!! ADORE nectarines! Have a great weekend Chana, take care and good luck on the upcoming birth! xoxo

I like seeing what other people buy when they do a grocery/other type of shop. I think it is a very good thing that I live in Australia, and not near Sam's Club, as I would be like a kid in a lolly shop! The baby wipes made me chuckle @Chana. When I could legitimately no longer use them, family would josh me for buying a packet every now and then. But, when little Iris grand baby came home with us, I had a reason again.Yay! And that is when the grown children and hubby started commenting on how handy they were. lol. I love baby wipes. 🥰 Oh, We call them dishwasher tablets here and I have done the same as you, bought two lots of a large number of them and it seems as if the cupboard is full of only dishwasher tablets. But let's be honest, getting down to only one is never a good place to be! Do your kids like doing the dishwasher things? Iris has been obsessed with the Rinse Aid and the tablets since she was 2. It is 'her' job.
Baby wipes are the life hack / necessity that I never knew I needed until after I had kids! Yes, my kids LOVE helloing with all aspects of the dishwasher (except loading LOL), especially the detergent pod :) I try to save that for my youngest as its a pretty easy and age appropriate job for him (as you know) :)
I really like your meal planning strategy, it seems really simple. I struggle with meal planning and usually over complicate it. Our favorite fruit for summer might be blueberries. We live in West Michigan and have tons of blueberry farms all around. Fresh picked blueberries are the best! Thanks so much for letting us join you for you shopping trips!
Fresh picked blueberries are the best! I spent a lot of time up in the mountains while I was growing up and I loved picking fresh blueberries to eat along trails!!!

Southern Colorado (Rocky Ford in particular) is very famous for its sweet cantaloupes and watermelons. It's because of our climate - it gets very hot (like Texas) during the day, BUT cools way down into the 50's at night - this cool temp results in a very sweet melon. If you're ever able to find them - the biggest farm that produces melons here is Hirakata farms. Highly recommend, but they are only available for a very short period of time - and not until the last week of July and through the month of August.

You can freeze milk! We do it all the time. You always want to pour out about a cup of it first to leave room for it to expand, but it freezers and defrosts great!
Chag Shavuot sameach! My favourite fruit is the grape, but I do love others. I have all cheese plates on mind for this holiday. I usually make my shopping online, seat at home and receive the delivery. If are replacement they send me a list and receive my approval or not to the switch. Produce I bought direct to the producer, also online, and also receive it at home. I agree with you is a method that save you money, when you made online shopping you can go over the list at the time you order, see the chart and review your shopping at the time you made. Not always work, is so hard to let go something you already chose, but this is the thing of the supermarket to make us buy more than we need. So is so good to make list of meals, I will “copy” your idea😂🤣. All my love❤️

I have done chicken pot pie with random chicken from the freezwe, I just pop it in the pressure cooker and pull it off the bone. I have also done canned chicken in a pinch. I love the seasonal fruit, it seems like as each new fruit comes in to season, I'm ready to switch, but right now I'm loving peaches.
Your and my kids are very similar. Apples, cheese and grapes never last in our house. Just wait for yours to be teens!! And nice that you have an easy option for kosher groceries.
If you can get to/order from Target, my son likes the Good & Gather (Target brand) gluten free noodles better than the Barilla/Ronzoni and it's usually a little cheaper and has an OU. I also roast green beans that way but add onion and garlic powder along with the salt. Hope you have a good Yom Tov!

Chana, one of our favorite ways to eat green beans is to put them in the oven with sliced carrots and Sesame oil. I suppose you could swap the Sesame for Olive if the sesame oil is not kosher. Last night we cooked salmon baked with onions and tomatoes on the km drizzled with lemon juice and olive vegetables oil and dashed with dill spice. Put that together with asparagus and it was an enjoyable meal, God bless you and yours. Love, jenwhite

Do you ever go to HEB? In all of the times I've been to Dallas, I've been to Costco, Tom Thumb, and Kroger's ( truth be told, I've been in Kroger's in L.A. in the form if Ralph's and Food for Less which are both under the Kroger's corp☔ but i digress) , I've havd yet to go to a HEB and everyone who's from Tx or have visited a raves about HEB. It's like HEB trumps Walmart and Kroger's. The paper plates with all of the fruit design was so cute and very summery, I would've bought them too 😀 Two of my favorite snacks growing up and as an adult are cheese and apples and cucumbers🥒 with salt and vinegar drizzled on them. My mon and I would go through fruit, salad 🥗 ( she'd buy a head of lettuce 🥬 and make a salad out of that) and popsicles during the summer. I just started working at a grocery store and they had a sale on chicken recent , i believe it was buy one get one 1/2 off of any chicken package size and boy was a lot of chicken bought. I worked at a preschool a few years ago and we'd often give the kids celery with sometimes cream cheese or peanut butter with raisins or Craisins on top.
Oh I should try the celery with cream cheese! I bet my kids would love that too! I have not been to an HEB in a while. They aren’t super common in my area. But I think it’s just got a different name here.

I bought shelf stable almond milk at the store for the same reason. They almost didn't have it, I get the unsweetened almond milk. It's next to the cereal usually. AKA ants on a log.
My favorite summer veggies are yellow summer squash and zucchini and salad 🥗 For fruit. Watermelon 🍉, strawberry 🍓. I've never done a grocery pickup. My daughter goes shopping each day for dinner ingredients. Once a month, I do a decent size order for basics to have on hand. I can't wait to see your sweet new addition.... Almost time!
My sister does grocery pickups a lot. I still go into the store. Today I have a dental appointment at 2, so we're going after that. My uncle is taking me.

I love nectarines and strawberries in the summer and some really crisp cold watermelon . It’s so hard with substitutions I sometimes wonder whether it’s a robot that picks the subs or an actual person bc sometimes they really make no sense. Do your kids like soya mince bc if they do , you could use that instead of mince if you have problems getting meat when u want /need , bc does add heartiness to the meal instead of just pasta and cheese ( even tho it’s not just pasta and cheese it’s just the best meal ever) and it lasts ages in the freezer . I replace chicken with cashew nuts in chicken curry and chicken pot pie to add protein and texture if I want that flavour but can’t get the chicken . Great hauls. My kids will be in middle school next year and I still regularly buy/use baby wipes! The funny part is that I cloth diapered, so I rarely used them for their intended wiping purpose because we used cloth wipes also. But for faces and hands and high chairs and tables and toys and……so many wipes! Haha. So excited for you to meet your new little one soon. 🙂 also, if you need to use up that soy milk at the end, I find that it makes good chocolate pudding (almond milk does too!)
Not bad pricing at all for the amount of stuff you got! I’ve been eating blueberries and green grapes daily, and a banana after workouts, so they are always on hand. Definitely love to get watermelon,cantaloupe and strawberries in the summer, but really could enjoy pretty much any fruit all summer haha.

Love your video as always! As for fruit for the summer we like peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries etc. I enjoy also making fruit pizza and fruit salads during the summer.
@@jaroffireflies My Fruit Pizza Recipe ( That everyone requests and if I don’t bring it to a get together I hear about it lol) 1 (16.5 ounce) Roll Sugar cookie dough 1 (8 ounce) Cream Cheese, Softened 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream , Whipped 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 Tsp Vanilla extract Sliced Strawberries Blueberries Sliced kiwi Heat oven to 350°F. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray. Break up cookie dough in pan; press dough evenly in bottom of pan to within 1/2 inch of edge. Bake 16 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. In a bowl using a hand mixer beat together the cream cheese, vanilla extract and white granulated sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream. Spread cream cheese mixture over cooked sugar cookie crust. Top with fresh fruit.
@@jaroffireflies Another “Fruit Pizza” option is to slice a watermelon into thick rounds. Top with plain yogurt and your favorite fruit. Slice like a pizza and enjoy. So many ideas for fruit pizza out there. I honestly love Pinterest and Allrecipes for ideas.

You can freeze milk! We do it all the time. You always want to pour out about a cup of it first to leave room for it to expand, but it freezers and defrosts great!

Chag Shavuot sameach! My favourite fruit is the grape, but I do love others. I have all cheese plates on mind for this holiday. I usually make my shopping online, seat at home and receive the delivery. If are replacement they send me a list and receive my approval or not to the switch. Produce I bought direct to the producer, also online, and also receive it at home. I agree with you is a method that save you money, when you made online shopping you can go over the list at the time you order, see the chart and review your shopping at the time you made. Not always work, is so hard to let go something you already chose, but this is the thing of the supermarket to make us buy more than we need. So is so good to make list of meals, I will “copy” your idea😂🤣. All my love❤️

I have done chicken pot pie with random chicken from the freezwe, I just pop it in the pressure cooker and pull it off the bone. I have also done canned chicken in a pinch. I love the seasonal fruit, it seems like as each new fruit comes in to season, I'm ready to switch, but right now I'm loving peaches.

If you can get to/order from Target, my son likes the Good & Gather (Target brand) gluten free noodles better than the Barilla/Ronzoni and it's usually a little cheaper and has an OU. I also roast green beans that way but add onion and garlic powder along with the salt. Hope you have a good Yom Tov!

Chana, one of our favorite ways to eat green beans is to put them in the oven with sliced carrots and Sesame oil. I suppose you could swap the Sesame for Olive if the sesame oil is not kosher. Last night we cooked salmon baked with onions and tomatoes on the km drizzled with lemon juice and olive vegetables oil and dashed with dill spice. Put that together with asparagus and it was an enjoyable meal, God bless you and yours. Love, jenwhite

Do you ever go to HEB? In all of the times I've been to Dallas, I've been to Costco, Tom Thumb, and Kroger's ( truth be told, I've been in Kroger's in L.A. in the form if Ralph's and Food for Less which are both under the Kroger's corp☔ but i digress) , I've havd yet to go to a HEB and everyone who's from Tx or have visited a raves about HEB. It's like HEB trumps Walmart and Kroger's.
The paper plates with all of the fruit design was so cute and very summery, I would've bought them too 😀
Two of my favorite snacks growing up and as an adult are cheese and apples and cucumbers🥒 with salt and vinegar drizzled on them. My mon and I would go through fruit, salad 🥗 ( she'd buy a head of lettuce 🥬 and make a salad out of that) and popsicles during the summer. I just started working at a grocery store and they had a sale on chicken recent , i believe it was buy one get one 1/2 off of any chicken package size and boy was a lot of chicken bought. I worked at a preschool a few years ago and we'd often give the kids celery with sometimes cream cheese or peanut butter with raisins or Craisins on top.
Oh I should try the celery with cream cheese! I bet my kids would love that too! I have not been to an HEB in a while. They aren’t super common in my area. But I think it’s just got a different name here.

I bought shelf stable almond milk at the store for the same reason. They almost didn't have it, I get the unsweetened almond milk. It's next to the cereal usually. AKA ants on a log.

My favorite summer veggies are yellow summer squash and zucchini and salad 🥗 For fruit. Watermelon 🍉, strawberry 🍓. I've never done a grocery pickup. My daughter goes shopping each day for dinner ingredients. Once a month, I do a decent size order for basics to have on hand. I can't wait to see your sweet new addition.... Almost time!

I love nectarines and strawberries in the summer and some really crisp cold watermelon . It’s so hard with substitutions I sometimes wonder whether it’s a robot that picks the subs or an actual person bc sometimes they really make no sense. Do your kids like soya mince bc if they do , you could use that instead of mince if you have problems getting meat when u want /need , bc does add heartiness to the meal instead of just pasta and cheese ( even tho it’s not just pasta and cheese it’s just the best meal ever) and it lasts ages in the freezer . I replace chicken with cashew nuts in chicken curry and chicken pot pie to add protein and texture if I want that flavour but can’t get the chicken . Great hauls. My kids will be in middle school next year and I still regularly buy/use baby wipes! The funny part is that I cloth diapered, so I rarely used them for their intended wiping purpose because we used cloth wipes also. But for faces and hands and high chairs and tables and toys and……so many wipes! Haha. So excited for you to meet your new little one soon. 🙂 also, if you need to use up that soy milk at the end, I find that it makes good chocolate pudding (almond milk does too!)

Not bad pricing at all for the amount of stuff you got! I’ve been eating blueberries and green grapes daily, and a banana after workouts, so they are always on hand. Definitely love to get watermelon,cantaloupe and strawberries in the summer, but really could enjoy pretty much any fruit all summer haha.

1 (16.5 ounce) Roll Sugar cookie dough
1 (8 ounce) Cream Cheese, Softened
1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream , Whipped
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla extract
Sliced Strawberries
Blueberries
Sliced kiwi
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray. Break up cookie dough in pan; press dough evenly in bottom of pan to within 1/2 inch of edge. Bake 16 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.
In a bowl using a hand mixer beat together the cream cheese, vanilla extract and white granulated sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.
Spread cream cheese mixture over cooked sugar cookie crust. Top with fresh fruit.

Top with plain yogurt and your favorite fruit. Slice like a pizza and enjoy. So many ideas for fruit pizza out there. I honestly love Pinterest and Allrecipes for ideas.
