As a lifelong preds fan, this is a weird experience. Theyve always OVERachieved in succesful seasons, and mid to bad seasons were generally expected. Weve never had any amount of high expectations like this, and to completely flop on them so far is a completely new thing for the city
I am sorry Gerard Gallant is t a favorite hire with NHL managers..his success bringing teams along hasn’t helped him as he is not an Analytics oriented coach. Gallant coached Marchessault in Florida as well as in Vegas. What a different place Bridgestone would be !!
It felt really weird, to sell so much and start a bit of a retool, then to have a frankly unsustainable streak of wins to scratch into the playoffs, then just decide to sign a bunch of mid 30s players to medium to long term deals right after finally shedding some salary and locking themselves in
Other Preds fans thought I was crazy when I said it this summer, but I thought there was just as much of a chance that we ended this year with a top 5 pick as doing something in the playoffs. Personally I don't much care for Brunette. His excuse is always that they just aren't playing hard enough and he starts shuffling lines before 2-3 shifts are over. The young guys get little playing time, meanwhile a guy like Stamkos who hasn't done a thing is getting more ice time than Forsberg some nights.
Walman took a pretty good hit and blocked a pretty preeettttttttttttttttttty hard shot and had to basically crawl back to the bench last game against Vancouver. It almost looked like he wouldn't come back to the game, but he did. It's expected Walman is just getting a breather game with how rough of shape he was in. Walman has been GREAT for SJ!
@@85blutch i have a feeling youre right about the dicipline part for walman. its ridiculous treatment considering kunin was on the ice for that goal against too and he gets to play every night despite being luke kunin.
Make what you will of +/- but Jake Walman is a +2 through 13 games, that should speak volumes as to how good he's been for the Sharks. He had a pretty bad defensive lapse against the Canucks, basically cost them the game, but that would seem a little harsh to scratch him over it. Hopefully it's just a maintenance day.
Stamkos scuffling for points without Kucherov and the Tampa power play. I still expect him to get his before season's end, but rough start with Nashville.
The Predators need to get all their players to think they're going to a U2 concert. For real this time. And right before the concert tell them they're not going anymore because they suck.
Maybe they can schedule to swing by on their way from Colorado to Edmonton for the Wednesday show? I wouldn't say it's on their way, but they don't play Vegas again until January and that'll be too late.
It wasn't even so much that we got rid of Walman that sucked, it's that we packaged him and a second round pick for future considerations. It was a mind-blowingly awful trade.
Watching the preds this seasons sometimes feel like great players playing the game in different ways at the same time. Give them some time to adapt. Perhaps even a season to gel. Lots of long term deals at work
Walman likely scratched for the same reason Pastrnak was - accountability. He's been great, I guess Warso wanted an example to make. Celebrini 10pt night incoming
For the waiving of Max Jones (assuming he clears)....is there a cap penalty to the Bruins for burying that contract in the minors, since he's on a 1-way deal? I know thats a "thing" in the current CBA, but I'm fuzzy on when it applies, and what % of the contract is applied as the penalty
Aside from penalties (in my opinion) I don’t know if Johnson will be that much of an upgrade over Jones. I mean he’s on the older side and, the Bruins were like the only team interested so we’ll see how it works out.

Maybe the Canucks will trade for him 🤞🏼😉
I think it's also Warso trying to instore accountability even for the best players, Walman's mistakes costing the game against Vancouver.
If that was the case then Rutta wouldn’t see the ice very often
@@85blutch i have a feeling youre right about the dicipline part for walman. its ridiculous treatment considering kunin was on the ice for that goal against too and he gets to play every night despite being luke kunin.
@ maybe Walman did it on purpose cuz he wants to be traded to the Canucks 😉🤓
RETURN OF THE MACK 🗣
My favorite song! Maybe Mack have also something special, "light Crosby"?
Shannon shows up on this show a lot in Shark's gear, and I'm totally here for it!!! Shark's rebirth is nigh!!!
Shannon’s turn around on the sharks is much appreciated

Welcome back
If the Preds wouldn't be frustrated, then that would explain why they don't win.
As someone who lives in a swing state pa im glad there gonna be gone
same im in MI
As a Preds fan, I too am frustrated. I can only imagine what it is like in the locker room.

Same scenario different year, I hope Johnson works out as well as Heinen did last year.
Trotz needs to book another team outing to a U2 concert then cancel on them. Worked last year, just sayin

Nashville is probably close to a coaching change. Nashville needs to do something

I think Walman is scratched because of an injury from last game. Playing to well rn to be scratched

Hooray no more campaign mailers, text messages, voicemails, emails, or random calls.
Also hockey is rad.
Walman is definitely scratched because he needs a rest game after taking a beating in that one shift against Vancouver
Wahlman hopefully is just being rested

Im surprised teams like Columbus aren't just snatching anyone with a pulse off waivers lol
